Why Doesn't Jim Rome Give MMA More Airtime?

I remember right before the Chuck Lidell and Jackson fight, Rome was talking about the fight and had Chuck on to interview him. After Chuck lost the fight, I haven't heard him give MMA any airtime since.
Here's my point, he gives boxing alot of airtime, so why not MMA?
From the numbers and the people I talk to it seems MMA is quickly taking over boxing.

I DVR Rome is burning, and usually tune in just to see if he is talking about an upcoming UFC bout. I might be few and far between, but I can't be the only one.

it would be great if Jim Rome would cover more MMA, especially since he reaches such a wide audience.
I watch it b/c I want to be more informed on college and pro football, and I imagine there are people who watch it because they'd like to be more informed regarding MMA.

Rome blasted Kimbo and EXC on his radio program for a week after his last fight. It was pretty funny.

I think MMA just hasn't hit it big time yet so Rome sticks to the bigger sports. MMA still gets more time on his programs than Soccer does.

Well his show's on ESPN, and ESPN hasn't really started ******* with MMA too much so I'd imagine his hands are tied to some degree.

Jim Rome is the most annoying person on the planet, I hope he bursts into flames and they are forced to cancel his show on wjfk

Believe.

I wouldn't go that far, but he is definitely overrated.

Him coming over to MMA wouldn't do any favors for us, it would only be used as a stepping stone for Rome.

rome is tight with jim lampley, who often fills in for rome when he is "in the basement". if you know who lampley is, then you know how badly he HATES mma. he is a boxing purist/apologist, who is VERY vocal on his dislike for mma.
i also think that rome knows that if he ever openned the mma can....the mma fans/callers would take over the show!
