This is like when he (And many) hyped up his one punch on Tito Ortiz.

you mean his controlling the motion and flow of the fight? moving backwards to control your opponent is still controlling your opponent. That puts silva ahead in octagon control and striking. Since those were the only things that happened in those 2 rounds Silva definitively takes them.

Aggression is the only thing Cote would have won had he been aggressive. No one wins that IMO.

i couldnt disagree more.

i got the first round like this. cote connected on 7 kicks with 2 off those being crisp and 1 solid body kick. also 5 punches that connected. i didnt count any of the pitty patty kicks cote threw for the sake of an arguement. i got anderson landing 4 kicks with 1 partially blocked with 2 knees that hit very clean. also he landed 3 punches. the striking was very close and i gave both octagon control and aggression to cote. silva was circling the outside while cote was cutting angles staying in the center of the octagon.

I'm not sure you understand the concept of angles in a fight.

Cote properly using angles would have been side stepping to trap silva not letting him circle and land shots at will.

Hi guys, I meant to post about his earlier. Cote is def drunk here but none the less seems a bit delusional about the fight.. Here's the interview in question..

Personally I can't understand why anyone would think that Côté won any of the first two rounds, just like I don't think Leben beat Bisping or Ortiz beat Machida. I think aggression is overrated, really. If you're pissed off because the other guy is hitting you but stays out of your reach and you keep going after him because of that, it doesn't mean that you're winning.

now im convinced your watching a different fight i am. silva didnt land anything effective til he engaged in the center of the ring. but when he did he got hit too and it was only twice. cote stayed in the center and landed shots from there while silva spent most of the round doing laps around the cage. and again im speaking the 1st round, i have silva 10-9 for the second.

i like silva alot, but the nut hugging going on around here is making it difficult.

lol

I must have been to drunk to notice him "******* up" anderson silva.

I mean I must have been wasted, cause it looked to me anderson was dancing around him and winning every round xD

No disrespect to cote, that dude is a great figher, and balls the size of a whale to even get in the ring with silva.

Hell, he even hit silva a time or two.

I don't like silva at all actually. Him and Lyoto aren't my kind of fighter.

what I REALLY don't like is poor fight analysis. Cote stayed in the center of the ring turning around in circles. That has nothing to do with angles as you tried stating. he did nothing to control either the pace or silva's movement as you are somehow crediting him for.

if you want to talk only effective strikes Cote landed 3 the entire fight... all others grazed, were blocked, dodged, or simply didn't have any power behind them.
