I find it interesting that some of you think that "many" fighters would jump on an opportunity to fight Silva with only 2.5 weeks to prepare, especially considering how many alleged "big names" turned down a chance to fight him until Irvin stepped-up.

With two and a half weeks it would likely have to be a middleweight opponent (unless Silva could bulk up again for 205), and even then, guys like Leites wouldn't want to waste their shot with that little time to prepare. It would end-up being a gamer like Irvin who would step-up to the plate again, and even then it would likely be a complete mismatch.

Silva is not an agressive fighter. if he comes out aggresive against a 205er he could very well get KO'd.
I think his fighting style is a mix of a counter and aggressive attacks, some of his most successful strikes on Cote were when he was the aggressor.

I'ma throw this name in this thread.

Because Showboating is involved....

Rashad Evans.

Any thoughts? Does it seem that bad now that the beloved Anderson Silva does a little dance, and Rashad does too? Maybe.. like it's been said before, it's NOT showboating. And it's a way to throw off opponents.

Just maybe..

Seems like most posts that are anticipating the next opponent and talking about the short training camp are over looking the fact that Silva is being total class! Didn't like the out come? Who's next and how soon? It's not like Silva knows who he might get. Got to love his heart and determination.

Only logical way Silva can fight before the end of the year is to scrap Okami v Lister and make Okami fight Silva for the title

.....that would = the sexiest card ever

Anderson Silva vs Tim Boetsch at 205 for UFC 92?

Sounds possible to me.

I say Silva vs Jardine @ 93 or 94. Would be an unbelievable matchup: toughest 205 guy against best ko artist.
