It would be sweet to have Carano vs Cyborg in the UFC, but it won't, as Dana said in the article, because the UFC doesn't want to create women's divisions. They don't feel there are enough talented female fighters to warrant a womens division.

Contrary to some people on here, I usually enjoy the womens fights more than a lot of the guy fights because they usually leave it all out there. Plus, like LW fighters, they lack KO power and can therefore have some great striking exchanges.

I was wondering when this would be brought up. While the Elite matches with Carano and Cyborg were fun to watch we never really saw anything really violent; as in David Heath/Babalu massacre violent.

I am not sure how I would react to seeing a woman getting cut or disfigured in a match b/c I havent seen it yet. However, I have a feeling that many would be very turned off to women's MMA seeing that.

Thus the reason I think that for the UFC it would be too risky. However, the WEC is a PERFECT FIT imo.

Gonzaga vs dos Santos - UFC on VS
Vera vs Jones - UFC on VS
Bibs vs Hansen - Dream 13
GSP vs Hardy - UFC 112
Gomi vs Florian - UFN 21
Nelson vs Struve - UFN 21

I was at the fight where Kim couture got F*cked up and yeah, it made you cringe. However, I cringe whenever I see someone get messed up that badly.

I think it was worse than usual because you could see Randy in her corner holding the towel and wanting to throw it in.

I don't share this sentiment about not wanting to watch female fighters. If Gina chooses to go into fight knowing full well that she can come out of it looking like a goat, more power to her. I don't mind watching anyone fight as long as it's fair and both parties agreed to do it. That being said, that would be great for a one off thing in an UFC event, UFC could milk the shit out of it and make a lot of money from it.

Ugh no women's matches in the UFC please. If they do, have em on separate cards or have an option to exclude paying for those when buying a card. Not to mention even fewer male fighters and fights per card, that i actually care about, and as a result male UFC fighters fighting even less often that they do now. I don't care for it at all, seems completely unnatural and makes me cringe, so I don't want it to be a choice of pay for it all or stop watching UFC.
