Yeah, except you're paying good money for that 15 mins, and it's replacing another fight that you actually would've watched. I think I'd rather piss for free than pay 10 bucks for it, or more it was actually live.

I'm actually surprised that this mentality is still so strong. Oh well, watching women fight to me is that same as watching the guys. If they can be killed fighting our wars, I don't see how giving them an equal chance in MMA is a question. I'm much more disturbed by women (or anyone) being blown up than taking an ass kicking.

Dana is prolly right about the quantity of talented women fighters, but I wouldn't mind seeing team Carano vs. team Santos on TUF 9. They could fight each other at season finale for the newly made women division belt.

Women fights are very similiar with LW fights, fast, explosive and exciting. I do enjoy HW fights too, but lower weight classes are more entertaining to watch overall.

There is alot of women doing judo, boxing, bjj, wrestling, kick boxing etc. just not mma. Im sure ufc would have an awesome division running in like 3-5 years if they tried hard enough.

Women aren't in active combat positions in the military, not in the US or most countries anyway. They're only in supportive roles like Logistics, Base duty etc. Granted they still get killed, they're not really active combatatants except in defence. They get blown up and stuff while under guerilla attacks, and that really makes me cringe too.. something about it just makes it worse, but maybe it's just me. The fact that they allowed that under pressures of modern political correctness bothers me just as much as this, but I guess I'm a minority. Anyway, this is a tangent, I'm gonna stop posting in this thread before I go off on a rant.

The difference between women in active combat roles in the military and womens MMA is that in combat, women fight against men who are naturally physically stronger. In womens mma, however, women fight against other women, thereby leveling the playing field(except in the case of cyborg, that b*tch is ridiculous...).

Also, women in active combat roles is a problem because they lack the strength to support the male soldiers in battle, thereby endangering the other soldiers. In MMA, this is not an issue.

I respect your opinion Liddellianenko but have to disagree with your analogy. I think it all comes down to personal preference in the case of Womens MMA.

Maybe the UFC could start up its own Women's MMA(WMMA) and show that seperately for free or something. That way, people that don't like it don't have to choose between watching the fighters they do like and watching women fight, and they can build support for women's MMA and increase the talent in the division. Just and Idea.

Yep. I was in anti-tank team in army and one of our trainers was a woman. Anti-tank weapons we used to carry around pretty much regularly (single use bazookas, missiles, 3 different type of mines etc.) are pretty damn heavy though so they only let strong athletic people in which is why there isn't alot of women, but still some.

Its true most women in army are either squad leaders in artillery, front line infantry and military police -teams instead of anti-tank and guerilla teams, but there is some strong ones too doing more strenght requiring stuff.

Female mma fighters do need an organization to work on, its shame Dana isn't ready for women division because it would have most success in ufc.
