Chuck's style was devastating before people wisened up with a defensive stand up game. Its natural and happens in every sport.

I think the LHW division have seen enough of Liddell over the years to be able to come up with a game plan including being defensive and countering.. i mean really any standup fighter knows about countering and movement its not like suddenly someones gone ahah i know how to beat Chuck ill counter him.
The fact is no one is unbeatable and Chuck Liddell is still a top tier LHW, he got lazy with Evans and Evans countered perfectly that doesnt mean Liddell is past being a threat to any LHW.

I really don't think Chuck is going to see the title again. The dude always puts on an exciting show, so I hope if he can keep from Shamrocking himself, he continues to fight.

Oh yes and Jardine was destroyed by Silva yet Liddell dominated him, bloody hell does a fighter have to maintain a clean sheet to be respected....

I agree with Chuck to a certain extent. People are assuming his style is antiquated because of his most recent loss combined with his age. I don't think that is logically follows.
He did great against Wandy, and he was winning against Rashad before he ate that immaculate punch. I think age, combined with increasing talent levels in MMA, are what is going to be his downfall.

See, this is exactly what I am arguing has happened with Chuck Liddell and I disagree completely with your counter argument. That is exactly what has happened. Rampage, Jardine, and Rashad all beat Chuck with with a counter striking offense. What's even worse and makes Silva an opponent that will beat Chuck handily is that Chuck has shown that he is a sucker for an accurate punch. He leaves his chin up and goes to sleep whether flash KO'd with a glancing Rampage blow. You don't even have to time your shot as perfectly as Suga Rashad.....although Anderson Silva would be at the top of a list of opponents that could easily do so.

I thought it obvious what i said, to beat liddel was to counter his strikes and that its not exactly a new idea to counter strike.

I'm not shocked to hear it
and I wont be shocked watching Chuck get Abboted out of the biz by under talented fighters in future. Silva shouldn't even be a consideration.
Chuck alone has the power to change the enevidible, but currently he doesn't have the heart or mind to be successful at this sport anymore. Even if he got himself sorted out, it might be too late anyway.

And hey, if Chuck continues to lose at LWH, he can retire for awhile, then come back and get a shot at the Heavyweight Champion then reign there for awhile.
Hehe.
