if kongo beats al-turk i'd like to see him fight carwin for a title shot. carwin is a beast against scrubs, but i'd like to see him fight some real competition.
Carwin would take him down and knock him out from mount or guard position.

Bad matchup for Kongo.

Al Turk has zero ground game so i dont think Congo needs to worry, Al Turks ground game is so poor Congo could easily sub him.

Here's two assumptions about Kongo I dont understand people seem to think he is this huge untechnical brawler but the truth is Kongo isnt abnormally large or powerful and stand up wise anyways is a fairly technical fighter, I dont unerderstand where people get these misconceptions.

He's not abnormally large, but he is a big HW. He's 6'4" 240 and quite athletic for that size.

Kongo is terrible!! He is one of my least favorite fighters to watch in the whole sport.

He never was a contender. He beat up a washed up Crocop and that was it. He will lose to Al-Turk and I hope we never hear from him again after that. Any gamblers out there, Id throw big bucks on Al-Turk. He will get Kongo to the gound and keep him there. You will probably be getting 3-1 odds at least to boot.

He may be a big guy but in a division with monsters like Carwin and Lesnar big just wont cut it,

Kongo is no bigger than Velasquez, O'Brien, Herring or Dos Santos he is really average in the current UFC division.

Hell even ballooned up Werdum is nearly as big.

meh...Crocop only became officially washed up after the Kongo fight and "washed up" still maybe not true. Before the Kongo fight Crocop got "caught". I only make this point because as someone who picked Kongo to win, I remember the lack of support. LOL.

I will happily sig bet you that Kongo wins that fight.

Al-Turks Record:
1st loss to Mike Ward 1-4...he got one win...against Al-Turk.
2d loss Kassim Annan 10-2...respectable opponent who is going into his 4th year of retirement
1st win: opponent= 0 - 2
He did beat 2007's Mark Kerr.
The unimpressive list goes on.....Al-Turk is a can that Kongo is going to clinch with and TKO with some knees just like planned when Joe Silva set the match up.

Erase Kongo's Herring fight with a can, wouldn't be suprised if Mir is the next opponent after Nog beats Mir.

AL turk sucks on the ground, he is a brave fighter but has little ability in both defense and attacking on the ground.
The only way AL Turk stands any chance is use his brawling ability and go all out in the 1st round as Congo can tend to plod.
