Wow. Sucks to be Okami but it makes business sense which often times leaves a good person with the shaft. Someone said it before, but why would Joe Silva even make this match? I mean, I would love to see it but for my 1 PPV, there are 1,000's that would hate watching this match.

I bet we see more of this "young rookie on the main card, vet getting the shaft." I think "exciting" will get you on the main card almost as easily as "good" will. He He, I don't like CB but I am coming around. The peruvian neck tie finish was f*cking cool. The 1,000 fans and I will buy the PPV for that.

I doubt Dana White is an Okami fan. Franklin/Okami was the lowest selling PPV in the UFC's growth era.

A groan of tedium escapes me...

I hope The Spider gets to avenge his "loss" to Okami soon. KO onslaught style!

Dana doesn't give someone a title shot - or even big promotion - if they don't renew a contract, with the aims that (A) he can get more fights out of them at low pay, and (B) they can't leave the title vacant.

They may just be giving Okami a can to finish up his contract, so that he has to resign (still at low pay) if he wants a shot at the title.

Defecato, ergo sum.

I do agree that Okami should be on the televised card but I don't see why people are calling him #1 contender? He lost to Franklin and since has beaten MacDonald and Evan Tanner RIP. Not very impressive IMO. What about Leites? This guys has won 5 srait fights and has been impressive aside from the Marquardt fight in which he really lost. I actally don't believe there is a true #1 contender, Silva will run through all these BD's.

I still think there's a good chance we could see the fight on the PPV. Honestly does anyone think that Kongo vs Turk is going the distance? There's a good chance for some quick knockouts on the card.

Hmm, this doesn't feel right. Just one of those things that sucks about this sport moving towards mainstream. I've stopped questioning Dana too much, though.

Maybe I'm naive but maybe this is a warm up match how many times have we seen someone rush back from injury to look like a pale shadow of themselves.

If Okami looks devasting I can see this getting bumped on to the televised show and announced as No 1 contender, if he looks bad, the fight mysteriously did not happen and Sivla takes a shot at a LHW while waiting for a new no 1 MW contender.

Thanks to Plazz for the awesome sig

Show him respect

I don't get it either....I mean it would be such an easy fight to sell. Plus we all know A.Silva wants a crack at Okami, just make the damn fight!
