i'd love to see florian/penn. florian is probably going to be penns toughest fight at lw for a while (unless sherk realises he aint gonna beat penn in a boxing match). many people think penn will demolish florian, but i reckon florian would win the standup battle and has good enough tdd/jitz to keep this fight standing. the only problem here is penn could relinquish the title should he beat gsp; because theres no way he'll be active enough to defend both belts.

<--- the punch that started it all!

My current favirote fighters
Anderson Silva
Junior Dos Santos
Mauricio Rua
Alistair Overeem
Jon Jones

WAR dan hardy, paul daley, ross pearson and terry etim doing it for the britz!

Lauzon and Huerta where both getting way more attention then they deserved.
OKOKOKOK I feel the NJ love here and it is deserved...below Gray Maynard and Sean Sherk. Joe Lauzon wasn't getting more hype then he deserved. He was a great opponent and lost and I bet he would agree he at least learned something from fighting Kenflo.

Your opinin here is tainted by your desire to see NJ fighters get the recognition they deserve which is a worthy goal but no need to bash good proven fighters in the process.

A groan of tedium escapes me...

Joe Lauzon is overrated I said that when he first came off TUF and I will keep saying it that has nothing to do with NJ or Frankie Edgar.

Lauzon has a good top game but he doesn't have good wrestling or a dangerous guard and at LW with very good wrestlers who have submission defense that's not a good combo.

I think Florian hasn't shown he can beat a wrestler with submission defense and Edgar, and Griffin (who is from Vegas) both have that. That point had zero to do with NJ and more to do with good wrestlers with submission defense.

Florian deserves a title shot now so obviously if he wins he should get it.

I'm a little suprised White would guarantee Joe a title shot if he beats Florian though. He was completely outclassed in his first fight with BJ imo; I don't think it was a case of implementing the wrong game plan.

Personally I think if Joe wins he should have to face Sherk. Not my call to make though. I won't be suprised if the plans alter somewhat with a Joe Daddy win.

I love Joe and think he is champion material, but its far to soon for another shot against the same champ that just beat him. There are several other people that could get a title shot before him. Either way I'll look forward to either of them fighting for the belt

KenFlo definitely deserves a shot at BJ if wins this fight, Stevenson not so much. Also, I do think BJ would absolutely demolish Kenny whether it stays standing or goes to the ground.

That BJ-Stevenson fight could have looked a lot different if it wasn't for that early cut. Granted Penn still wins 9 times out of 10, but I was really impressed by Joe's ability to escape from bad positions.
