I definatly think it will, you can say what you want about the economy but economic down turns have never had a strong effect on Pro Wrestling or Boxing PPV's so I think the effect it will have on this card is being grossly overestimated.

I just hope the UFC doesn't start catering to the WWE type fans moreso.

They are pushing this fight as the 'biggest in MMA history' and it just reeks of Kimboesque hype.
Don't get me wrong, Lesnar has a way more accomplished background than Kimbo and is an atheletic freak but comeon, how can this be the biggest fight in MMA history?

Im no expert economist...
but my couch potato assessment is that typically when a person/family has to sacrifice the larger more expensive items due to hard times, the smaller/quick/cheap feel good purchases increase to compensate.
People who rarely buy PPVs wont start... but those that usually do, wont let the downturn make them steer clear of this buy.

You are taking 'biggest fight in mma' totally the wrong way. They are saying this because they think it will do the highest numbers the UFC has ever done, hence 'the biggest' title.

I think it'll hit the projected 1.2 mill
this fight is projected to 4 different type of viewers. Casual MMA fans, Hardcore MMA fans (not so much, but i could imagine the majority of hardcore's is getting this UFC), casual WRESTLING fans and hardcore wrestling fans. Due to the wide range it is being projected at, i can see it surpassing records

I voted NO. Imo it might pass the 1 million mark but no record for 2 reasons:
- tough economy
- they relied too much on the main event and the overall card is not that solid
