Where does Lesnar rank now?
A fighter should be ranked according to their entire career, but the title holder at the #1 organization in the world only has 4 fights in his entire career.
1 win over a tiny, un-ranked can.
1 loss to a top 10, but not top 5 HW.
1 win over an arguably unranked HW (don't get me wrong, I love Heath, but it is what it is) who has a solid record of fairing badly against good wrestlers.
1 win over the #3 HW in the world. Who happened to be 45 years old, 50+ pounds lighter, and coming off nearly a year and a half lay-off.
Where does this record put Brock in the rankings really?
Styles make fights and it was commonly known that Brock had everything needed to neutralize a vast percentage of Randy's strengths. Same with Heath Herring.
So, though I don't want to bash Brock, or claim that his fights were "gimme" fights (they weren't!). But it's really hard for me to rank the guy.
I don't see him defeating Barnett, Sylvia, or Fedor. And Mir already submitted him. I think Nog will submit him, but Nog has trouble with bigger dudes. Bob Sapp looked really good against Nog (before he got arm barred) and Sapp had much less skill or talent than Lesnar, so I'd call it 55/45 in favor of Nog for me.
My point is, we really still don't know very much about Lesnar's skill set. I think Roy Nelson (yes Big f***ing Country) has what it takes to beat Lesnar. So how the hell do you rank a guy with such a short record?

But where? Which top 10 guy with 10-20 fights in his career are you going to put the 3-1 heavywieght champ with only one ranked win in front of?

At best.
Still, it's just really difficult. I don't think this problem has ever come up before in modern MMA.

I see what you're saying, but you have to rank him.
I'd probably slide him in where ever you have Sylvia ranked and move everyone down one. Tim's lost his last two now, and Brock just convincingly beat the guy that beat him.
At least on a provisional basis. A win against Nog/Mir cements his title and his ranking (improve it even), a loss loses him his belt and his top 10 ranking.

I agree, but where?
I'm not saying it's a horrible thing, but how do you properly rank a guy with his record? It's just an interesting situation.
With his win over Randy, I'm with Dontazo: #10 at best. With a win over Nog, I'd put him at #6 or #7... Which is nuts! If anyone else with more wins under their belt, it would undeniably be top 5, maybe top 3 status.
But even if he beats Nog... He will only have defeated two ranked HW's in his entire career.

I see the logic, but I think Sylvia would beat Brock. If you were to rank him as high as Sylvia is now, I would definitely say a win over Nog only cements his place.
I have him at 10 right now, though. Mostly because of his record (or lack there of).

If you believe all of the:
"He's a fake WWE wrestler"
"His striking sucks"
"He has no technique"
"He's only good because of his size"
"His shots are weak and sloppy"
"His wrestling isn't as strong as he claims"
posts all over this site then Brock is probably ranked somewhere around 340th in the world.
I think given what Randy did to some top HWs and that he smashed Randy, he's definitely top 10 right now. A win over either Mir or Nog would put him top 5 without a doubt.

Well, this thread isn't a Brock bashing party.
How do you rank anyone with a 3-1 record with only one win over a ranked fighter? A highly ranked fighter, but the only ranked victory on his belt.
