Beat Randy Couture and be cursed...Brock should be worried...

If I was Brock Lesnar and had any sense of UFC history, I'd be pretty freaked out right about now. Why? Because if you're anyone not named Chuck Liddell, then getting a win over Randy Couture is almost always followed by some sort of misfortune.

- Josh Barnett took Randy's heavyweight title at UFC 36, but tested positive for steroids and was stripped of the belt.

- Ricco Rodriguez beat Randy for the title at UFC 39, but was knocked out by Tim Sylvia in his first defence and started his plunge toward discount buffets and celebrity rehab.

- Vitor Belfort stopped Randy on a cut at UFC 46, only to return at UFC 49 and be absolutely smashed by Couture. Vitor lost four of his next six fights.

Fighting Randy at all, win or lose, seems to have a negative effect on a fighter's career, even if in the short term. Gonzaga dropped his very next fight after Randy beat him. So did Tito. So did Jeremy Horn. Kohsaka lost four of his next five. tim Sylvia dropped two of his next three, capped by a Zuluzhino-like performance against Fedor. Mike Van Arsdale never won again.
Randleman is 7-9 since Randy beat him at UFC 28. Enson Inoue subbed Randy in Rings, but lost five of seven fights after that. Same goes for Valentijn Overeem, who has won nine of 24 fights since he submitted Randy. He was actually on a five-fight win streak before he fought Couture.

Scary stuff, if you ask me. What do you guys think? Should Lesnar be shaking in his rasslin' boots, or what?

If Brock has thought about this, it may affect him more because of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Other than that, I don't think beating Randy comes with any sort of "curse".

I don't believe in curses, but it is funny. I would not want Brock to be exposed or dominated all of the sudden though. That wouldn't be good for anyone.

Lesnar is simply a sign of Dana White's unashamed hypocrisy. Lesnar is the "circus act" of the UFC, the same he accused of Kimbo and the Shamrock vs. Shamrock as "bad for MMA" and a "freak show", he puts on freak shows with Lesnar.

DANA IS AN IDIOT!

HYPCRITE!

The sooner you accept the fact that Lesnar has become a real MMA fighter, the easier it's going to be. Lesnar is nothing like Kimbo, in any way. Kimbo lost an embarrassing fight to a 205'er who had a day's notice. Lesnar just beat Randy Couture. Kimbo will (hopefully) never fight in a sanctioned MMA match again, whereas Lesnar has solidified his position in the biggest MMA organization in the world. I don't see how you can even begin to compare the two at this point.

I dont even see how he didnt solidify his spot with his win over Herring. If youre still skeptical even after he beat Randy then youre just being delusional.

Lesnar is the real deal, his size and athleticism is a huge advantage but you cant blame him for using what abilities he has been given. Fighters do have to accept fights against him you know, and hes impressing me every time he steps into the cage.

Im not his biggest fan but I realize hes here to stay at least for the time being, and it seems like hes committed to MMA for the long term. I personally cant wait to see his next fight whether its against Mir or Nog(hopefully Nog).
