Not a Brock fan but the hatred makes me wonder...
Early this year the Randy/Fedor hype around these forums was huge. Seems as though everybody wanted to see that fight. That being said obviously things never panned out, but I'm curious if earlier this year Randy was pretty much looked at as a number two heavyweight at worst number three why with Brock's victory is their still so much hesitation to give credit where it is due? Now all of a sudden it was Randy has lost a step and Randy needs to retire and Randy was too small. Where was this size coming into factor against his previous heavyweight opponants? All I'm saying is if Brock loses his next ten fights by K.O. I still believe credit should be given where it is due. Even at his age Randy is still a top heavyweight. We can stop with the Kimbo comparisons. I've seen few people give Brock his due and I think it goes on to prove that if certain people dislike a guy it doesn't matter what he does they'll always find something wrong with it. I think Brock takes MMA very serious and though I disagree with alot of his comments and antics it was a great victory for a guy new to the sport. I don't blame Dana for giving a title shit because at the end of the day the UFC is a business and what's a bigger draw Brock/Randy or Mir/Nog? I'm not gonna complain Dana wants to make money and he knew to casual fans, MMA heads, and ever people who aren't this would be an attractive fight. Just my opinion. I'll probably get railed as usual but that's o.k...

In my opinion this puts Brock in the top 5 of the heavyweight division, along with Fedor, Randy and Nog. If Lesnar keeps improving I can see him being seriously dominant for quite a while.

Brock should have gotten his due after working Herring who I still think is a solid heavyweight and can give anyone a good fight.
Brock is legit, whether he should have gotten the shot is a moot point either way. He got the shot, he took advantage of it, and in doing so might have become the biggest draw in MMA. I admit I thought he would lose which makes the victory all the more amazing to me. I for one cant wait for his next fight and am really looking forward to seeing what a guy like him could potentially do in the future.

I'm also annoyed with the increasing amount of "Brock sucks and Gonzagha will be the next champ" posts that are circulating around.

lol I don't think you need a PHD to utilize paragraphs, I'm just trying to help you make your post a little more readable...

The guy is an obvious blatant douchebag, so i'm not sure how anyone is surprised about the hatred towards him. He could win his next 20 fights and liberate a small country and people will still dislike him because he has a major dick factor about him.

The Heath antics I believe were called for cause of Heath's comments however talking of Randy as a "stepping stone" was out of order.
