Also, i'd like to ask what you have seen from Frank Mir's last performances that impressed you?

You call Nog's past performances "punch drunk", which I am sure is in reference to him taking a beating and then subbing later in the fight.

How was it Mir's fight against Lesnar went? Oh, right. Mir got his ass kicked until he pulled off the sub. Who does that remind me of?

It is absolutely comparable to Serra from a hardcore fan perspective because everyone is already talking abount Nog's next opponent in Brock Lesnar...everyone.

Yeah Mir takes a beating too, but he subbed Lesnar in what, 90 seconds? Give or take a few. Took about the same time frame to break Sylvias arm. Nog had to bleed for three rds. That eye isnt getting in younger, seeing any better. Thats all Im sayin.

Also as much as I love Nog, punch-drunk is a fair assessment. You can hear it in his voice on TUF.

What I have seen from Frank Mir that impresses me and he didnt really get credit for was the chin he displayed in the Lesnar fight. He damn sure took those shots better than Randy (who crumpled like a sack of bricks). Granted Nog's chin is just as good if not more tested, this is just an example of how Mir's skills are overlooked by the average mma fan.

Everything else is a big question mark at this point, but to overlook him is ridiculous.

Have you even seen the third Herring fight, or are you just basing that whole fight on one kick?

Ok, so you made an excuse for every fighter Mir beat...so ill do the same for the one he lost too. He was beat by the OLD Vera.

Yes, Nog outboxed/outclinched herring for the rest of that fight. But Herring let him up after the head kick. Also lets factor in what Herring has done since coming to the UFC: look like complete shit.

As much as I hate this phrase, I'm tempted to call that knockdown a 'lucky shot.' I mean, other than that, Herring barely landed anything of significance. Is Matt Serra a better striker than GSP, since he landed that big punch? Would Herring be able to manage that if they fought, say 3 times? No?

Either way, Mir has this one in the bag. As Aaronyman was so kind to mention, Mir is like TEN times the athlete Nogueira is. I mean, if he could hold his own in a sport like soccer, that he'd never played before... Well, just imagine what it would be like, if they were to compete on equal footing.

Highly opinionated but out of touch with the current MMA scene.

Heath let Nogueira up because Nogueira was recovering and he knew that if he continued to stay in Nog's guard, he'd get subbed.

I want to add my two cents.

Its obvious that on paper, Nog will win. He's better at everything that Mir maybe except strength. But dont over look Mir. Nog isnt and he's treating him as his only opponent at the moment. Mir is doing that too. Once one over looks his opponent, they can get caught ala Serra.

I wouldnt be surprised if Mir won. And if the odds are that against him, ill even bet on it. People called me crazy when I said Forrest would beat Rampage.

Forrest has solid cardio, good striking, really good BJJ and is a huge LHW. He had some advantages against Rampage.

Frank Mir is a total waste, who gasses in 3 minutes, has little striking ability and mad overrated BJJ. Dude couldn't even submit Wes Sims.

I think MIR beating NOG would be more shocking then when GSP got owned by Serra. Seriously.

Lol, Wes Simms, love that guy. He cant beat Mir in their first fight so he wtf stomps him, I laughed so hard. But to be fair...you know how big Simms is?

Mir also broke Sylvia's arm, that's pretty badass. And Mir's also a top 10 heavyweight, cant forget that. He has the skills to beat Nog. Not saying he will win. I want Nog to win, Nog = 100% class. Mir, not so classy.

Cant also forget that Forrest is a battle genious. The guy doesnt get any credit for his cage smarts. He outsmarted Page and that's why he won!!!
