You think Lutter deserves another shot? He couldn't even make weight, and he wouldn't make it if they had a rematch.

Okami should be fighting Anderson. But, he's taking on Dean Lister, who is the MMA equivalent of watching paint dry.

Licks72 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
First of all- I said if any of his previous opponenets deserved another shot. I don't think any deserve it. Watch the Lutter fight again and tell me who had Silva in more trouble than Lutter. He cut a lot of weight(not enough obviously) before that fight as well. That hurts conditioning. Anyone, tell me who had Silva in more trouble?

I disagree. Silva always takes a few minutes in the first to feel out his opponents and sort of ping their rhythm. It was just taking him longer with Cote. Fear didn't play into it.

I think the problem with the first matchup was that Cote brought a lot of new problems for Silva and Silva was unsure of how exactly to approach him. It seems to me that this fight gave Silva a good taste of what to expect from Cote. I don't think it would be the same fight the second time. I think Silva would have the advantage of knowing a little more about what to expect from Cote. He will know that Cote has a stronger chin than previous opponents. He will have a feel for his rhythm (he was starting to adjust to it very well in the second round, winning a number of exchanges). I don't think it will be a simple fight for Silva, but I do think the rematch will favor Silva. Something else that crosses my mind is that Cote may come back a little overconfident now that he has had a taste of Silva's striking and might get into a situation that he wouldn't have let himself be drawn into in the first match (likely a clinch). I see Silva standing back, looking for body shots and trying to wear down and tire out cote. I know every Cote fan will cite his great cardio- but body shots WILL take away from how well you breathe.

Just my take on it.

And he was frightened, most people just say he was being elusive because of the constant ballwashing that goes on.

Yeah...

Lister vs. Okami is a waste of everyone's time.
I want to see Silva fight Okami bad. I mean, it's sort of a grudge match. Okami put the only DQ decision on Silva's record and Silva gets visibly agitated when people ask him about Okami. I think we might see a vengeful Silva (well, we saw that at the Lutter fight- but this time it would be amplified). Sometimes I wonder if Joe Silva thinks these things through. If I were him I'd give Lister 3 fights in a row that would be HIGHLY unlikely for him to win just so I could get rid of him for good. GTFO Lister.

anyone have an answer for me(the retarted guy)? Who has given Silva a better fight? Hendo, maybe. Not Franklin.

Alright so the retarted comment may have been out of line and I apologize,

to answer your question I say Cote did, you say who had Anderson in more trouble but I say Anderson had Lutter in more trouble than he ever had Cote in, Anderson never managed to put Cote in any danger of being finished, What did Andeson do to prove he had any chance of finishing Cote? He finished Lutter and pretty much the entire MMA world knows at this point that if you make it through round 1 against Lutter he is done,

Chonan did win, 4 years ago.Maybe he deserves another shot. Considering my thought was "retarted", I don't see a lot of answers to my last question. Is thast the best answer? Of course a Cote nut hugger wants to see a rematch. He was losing before he got hurt.
