Anderson Silva vs Partrick Cote 2

Patrick Cote deserves another shot at Anderson Silva. Cote went down with an injury, so he should be able to get another shot.

Cote absolutely deserves another chance. Silva was scared of him and Cote smiled at shots that have put other fights to the mat.

and should Anderson Silva sit around and wait for this fight? Cote is out for no less than six months, then he has to train to get ready for a fight again, so it will be more than a year before this fight is possible.

I dont really see a reason for this fight to happen. Of all the Silva fights, this was the worst one. It was boring and nothing happened worth talking about. I say, no need for a rematch!

If it does happen. Silva round 1 tko. Silva was just toying with him the whole time.

I thought Cote would win the first one and Im even more convinced he'd win it the second time, Cote threw Anderson off my making Anderson become the aggressor which is something Andeson isnt used to, Anderson tried to showboat and make Cote lose his composure and go "Leben" on him leaving himself wide open, Cote never played into Andersons hand but I think Anderson has caught so much flack from so many fans that he would go in the second time overly agressive and try to end the fight fast and Anderson would end up counting the lights.

That said Cote is off to long, not being able to train 6 months, that means at least 8 before he can fight and Anderson cant be his first fight back so we are looking at 1 year from the last fight before we would see a rematch at least.

Wrong. Running away from someone and dancing around like a fool because you're afraid to get hit is not toying with someone. Silva had nothing for Cote.

By the time Cote is ready for a rematch, Silva will probably already have fought the remaining fights on his current contract, but if he signs a new one, then sure, why not.

I dont think Anderson was scared, he wasnt "toying" either I dont know why its so complicated its pretty obvious and simple, Anderson wants to counterpunch its what he does, in order to be a counter puncher the opponent has to give you something to counter, Cote wasnt gonna give Silva the opening that his other opponents did and Silva was merely trying to get Cote angry and make him get overly aggressive so that he could land his counter shots.

some of you guys are unbelievable. Outside of shooting in on Silva 10 feet away, Cote never did anything to push the action. And on the flip side whenever Silva did become aggressive and try to engage with him, Cote would back peddle the f*ck out dodge as soon as Silva began to string together anything that resembled a combo.

If Cote's plan was to counter silva's aggressiveness instead of being the aggressor than I'd give him a pass. Unfortunately for the fans that was not the case because Cote's whole game plan relied on him being able to survive long enough to land a big right (which he never connected with by the way).

So on that note, No we shouldn't have to be subjected to another Cote vs. Silva match up.
