thanks for the "lesson" in business, guess i didnt learn too much when i was getting a degree in it in college but all im saying is if you cant make the deal happen then you shouldnt hype it up until you are sure you can deliver, or else you end up being the jackass that promised us chuck vs wandy and couldnt come through. so thanks dana for being a class act and a man of your word!! as someone stated earlier it wasent too classy to snub a. silva just because he's not your poster boy american champ

I thought Dana White turned to promoting boxing after not going pro as a boxer himself. He also trained boxers, I thought.

Well spoken. I agree with all of your points. My manifesto earlier was really in response to the fact that there is waaaaaay to much Dana bashing and no one ever mentions his accomplishments like you have above. I agree, asshole to the maxx, personally, I think Dana was less concerned with Silva's marketability when he showed his disapproval and more dissappointed that it was proven true that "Yes, a Pride fighter can be brought in and blow right through UFC's competion." Do you really think Dana is "confounded" on how to market Anderson Silva? C'mon, he's not ugly and he has the belt and so far he has brutalized the competion. Silva doesn't need to speak english to be marketable just ask Yao Ming (or ask his interpretor : ) There is a reason Chuck Liddells commercial shows him shadow boxing in the desert with an announcer talking. Would you buy more Xyience if chuck was sitting cross leg in a chair with a warm cup of tea impressing us with his grasp of the english language to sell Xyience?

Dude, I will call him an asshole all day long with you, it's true! But these folks that get on here and are like "oh they can't market silva so Dana's not happy" or "Dana let the Wandi Chuck fight fall through"....it's just like you said, recognize the man's accomplishments, they are extraordinary and if we are gonna call him a chicken for not fighting a professional fighter then someone should get on here and defend him.

Getting beat and volunteering to get a beating are two different things. I wonder why we don't see AtomDanger in the UFC or Pride. It sure does sound like your a tough guy.

Mail order degrees don't count

...and why don't you go talk crap about Pride in the Pride thread? For all your college educated ass knows, it was them who went bad on the deal, not Dana, right?

I do fight, ametuer. Its just not what I want to do for a living

I never claimed to be a tough guy, I just don't see why everyone seems to think losing a fight is such a horrible thing.
...and if you fight at all and are ever in my state, we can get em up!
