Hazelett's getting there, no doubt, but dudes like Kitaoka and Imanari have better ground games at this point.

Hazelett will become the UFC version of Shinya Aoki, and I am digging that.
except hazelett has shown competent striking and a decent chin....

Aoki got cracked in the face by JZ and kept fighting. Lo-A-Njoe hit him with some nasty shots. His chin isn't as bad as many make it out to be. He got KO'ed by Nakao (Aoki got too wild), and was whomped by Hansen after going 15 with Uno in a hard fought fight.

Also, Shinya's striking is coming along.

I just hope Joe Rogan sits out the next Hazelett fight, it's just going to turn into another un-yielding, thorough stroke job of the rubber guard. I like Hazelett as a fighter though, he seems fun to watch and is actually humble about his abilities.

I like Hazelett a lot he has quickly become one of my favorite fighters since he fought Koscheck and I like his attitude.

Now as too who has the best BJJ in MMA. I think it is at this point Demain Maia. Aoki's is nasty no doubt about it and a lot more flashy but I think Maia's is just techinically better he makes solid and good grapplers look bad.

Gurgel is so overrated it's not even funny. I'd doubt he even is a black belt based on what I've seen from his ground game.

Gurgel is a great black belt and an even better teacher just as a fighter the guy is stupid. He tries to stand and bang with people but his stand up while not horrible isn't good enough.

Pfffft. "Great black belts" don't get pounded on a ALOT when they are on the ground. Good thing he's buddies with Rich or he'd have been cut.
