Best Jitz guy in the world??? i think you should rethink that statement. Out of 16 fights 5 of them are submission's. Also in a division that has Mir and Nog i dont see how he is the best submission guy. Im pretty sure he hasent submitted anyone in the UFC and if thats his bread and butter then its not working. Brendan Vera hasent been the same since he lost to Tim Syliva, so his win over a LHW isnt that impressive. His most impressive victory was against Gonzaga and i felt it wasent the best showing by either guy. He to me anyway just isnt that impressive.
Okay I think you just said Mir had better BJJ than Werdum so I'm not sure if there's much point in me replying as you may be a lost cause but I'll have a go.
You throw out "the 5 submission wins out of 16" statistic like that proves hi jitz game isn't any good, well here's some statistics.

Not denying Werdums BJJ is as good as anyone in the HW divisions UFC or not but I feel BJJ is only gonna take him so far and despite him taking the steps necessary (working with Chute Box) I dont feel he has managed to develop into a full blown MMA fighter and although his BJJ is good enough to make him a challenging opponent for anybody I dont think Id ever consider Werdum an elite level HW and if he doesnt do something about his weight he wont even be consided a good HW because to me looking as out of shape as he did in his last fight is a major cause for concern.
You could be right about the title shot but with Affliction struggling I dont see Werdum/Fedor selling any tickets, Affliction 2 will sell based on Arlovski and curiosity about this "Fedor" guy.
Sorry that comment was towards the other guys in the thread I should've mentioned it.
Is he a great striker? no but he's not horrible and his wrestling is pretty good look at his fight with Vera, Aleks E., and Overeem.
And on the ground no one besides Barnett, Nogueira and Fedor really have a chance which is why everyone avoids the ground like the plague against him even Nogueira kind of avoided the ground game.
So one of the best HW's in the ufc looses and then the ufc try and cut his pay in half, what bastar*s. I hope eventually theres a fighters strike and the ufc fiunally realises it cannot treat ppl like shi* and get away with it
No buddy I know ever said they can not wait to watch that "Werdum fight". There is good reason he needed a pay cut.
Who has outgrappled him on the ground? He was on the ground with Gonzaga and Nogueira neither could do anything to him and he almost took Nogueira's back and against Gonzaga he landed some good punches.
