Absolutely nothing, it's just that we have seen more of Bisping with wins, so people think he is more talented. When Maia gets to the top of the division, everyone will be changing their tune.

I agree Maia is a better fighter but let's not get too ahead of ourselves calling Ed Herman a quality middleweight when he has about equally the same ability as Jason Day or even Charles McCarthy.

Id say Jason Day has a bit more ability than Herman IMO

I think he has a better sub game and about equal stand-up
then again i despise Herman so i could be blinded a bit by that

The only thing I see Mike having the edge is speaking English and even there Maia is catching up in skill level. Come on Mancusian is a foreign language innit.

ed is a quality mw...he's beaten doerkson and scott smith....and his loss to grove was questionable judging...as was his fight w/ belcher....

Ed Herman is a very solid MW I would say Jason Day is too though.

this wont happen since maia isn't American and the series is US vs UK

also does anyone else think that maia would find it hard to put bisping on his back and keep him there? imo he has good tdd and scrambles well when he is taken down.

Favourite Fighters:

Dan 'The Outlaw' Hardy
Anderson 'The Spider' Silva
Renato 'Babalu' Sobral
Michael 'The Count' Bisping
Thiago 'The Pitbull' Alves
Kenny 'Kenflo' Florian
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson

so what american MW are they gonna put there then ? besides the most important in this scenario is that the contenders are from the UK and US.
