Yea the UFC and MMA in general has such a deep LW division it's amazing. I had this debate a couple weeks ago and it really is the deepest division talent wise no doubt about it.
It's shocking just how many great LW's their are when compared to the HW division which only has about 10 UFC fighters who are legit and maybe 20 or 25 in all of MMA.

I'd be surprised if Danzig emerges victorious. He hasn't really demonstrated any significant elevation in his skill level since TUF (which wasn't impressive to begin with). Nonetheless, this matchup will be mildly interesting.

without question the deepest in all of MMA
like you said about 25 legit heavyweights in all of MMA
if we thought about it we could probly name about 30 legit LW's just off the top of our head

30 is IMO a bit low. Think about it. Dream is loaded with LW's so is Sengoku. Strikeforce has good LW's as well and the WEC. I think I could name 30 in those 4 orgs alone. That's not even counting UFC which has at least 20 legit LW's.
Think about the way my boy Andre Dida looks at times in the LW divison. One dimensional strikers like Kongo actually do well in other divisions but Dida gets rough luck against anyone who can wrestle.

Cool fight, I'm going with Danzig though. He trains at a much better camp, which will ultimately make the difference.

Does it seem like the UFC is giving Danzig much tougher fights than any other TUF winner?

Ive used this analogy for a long time as to why I say BJ not Fedor is the top P4P, its nothing against Fedor but he is the king of a shallow division while BJ is the king of a division so loaded with world class talent its mind boggling**

I think its because unlike the typical TUF guy Danzig is an experianced veteran fighter not a young up and comer, I mean Danzig was 27 years old with 19 fights**

I would agree with you if BJ was actually the king of the LW division** He's beaten 2 top LW's one was Gomi a long time ago and 1 was Sherk**
He hasn't beaten JZ, Alvarez, Aoki, or any of the other big time guys**
I like BJ a lot but he's not the King of the LW division**
