absolutely! Lets compare fights that took place 3 years apart! Because that isn't enough time to gain any muscle at all!

I have personally gained about 25lbs of muscle over the course of my university career and look like a "totally different dude". Alves is a professional athlete and probably has access to alot better training facilities and personal trainers than I had the privilege of experiencing.

hey, you and bj have alot in common, no wonder your a big fan....

I know on the Sportsnet interview Dana suggests Alves is the next fight for either GSP or BJ; however I don't think that is necessarily the case.

The question Dana is answering is about GSP facing Anderson Silva next. I wonder whether Dana was thinking about just the ww division or perhaps hasn't thought it through.

The lw title needs to be defended. BJ fought Sherk on May 24/08. GSP fought Serra a month earlier on April 19/08; then fought Fitch on August 9/08. He will defend his title again when he fights BJ in January.

That's a 3:1 ratio.

Should BJ win and then fight Alves the fight would likely happen in late April at the earliest and more likely May given BJ's traditional lack of activity.

The ww title would be contested 4 times over the span of 12-14 months to the 1 time for the lw title. I don't see that happening.

My guess is BJ defends the lw title next no matter what.

Nobody will ever steam roll BJ, they might beat him, but they will not steam roll him lol. I really hope BJ gives up the LW belt if he wins the WW title

well you can gain 1 lb of lean mass about every 10 days of your bulk cycle with proper diet and exorcise. Apply that over 3 years (should be bulking about half of the time)....

GSP will win and I will sig bet you on that nonsense. I know BJ thinks he is the best thing to happen to MMA, but it's just not true.

I strongly disagree. I fully think Alves would steamroll the shit out of BJ. BJ is stupid enough to think that because he's been able to stand with wrestlers and BJJ guys that he can stand and trade with a Brazilian Muay thai champion. Which he can't. Especially not one that is the second biggest guy he's ever fought. (the only one walking heavier was machida who just so happened to beat BJ...)

Wang would get steam rolled, Abbadi would get steam rolled, even Shamrock would get steam rolled, but come on BJ is no slouch even if you don't think he is one of the best. He would hold his on with just about anyone near his weight class win or lose.
