I know his stats Shamrock-Ortiz, but what Im trying to say is based on his credentials and his previous showing I expected him to dominate the ground **** in that fight, having grappled in BJJ competitions against the best in the world he should have been able to control J-Mac better than he did the fact he didnt makes me question how he would do against somebody like Almeida who is also a very accomplished BJJ guy** I simply question wether he is really as good as his hype or if like Almedia he is gonna stall out just short of that Elite status****

To be fair Almedia was an elite MW before he decided to retire**

And also guys like Jason Macdonald and Mayhem Miller who are good MMA grapplers are very hard to submit** Even the best BJJ guys in MMA have trouble submitting skilled MMA grapplers** That's why Jacare vs Mayhem went to a decision and why JMac vs Maia took 3 rounds** Nogueira had trouble submitting Heath Herring it happens to every great BJJ guy it doesn't lessen how great their BJJ just guys spend months leading up to their fights with these guys working on submission defense**

Mcdonald is not only hard to submit, but his grappling is an offensive style of ground ****** He's won by submission more than 15 times which in it's own right is pretty impressive**

In 30 fights he'd only been submitted 2 times before he faced Maia** So it's not like Maia was facing some kind of slouch**

This has the possibility of being an even more technical version of Maia Jmac or could just be a dull jab-a-thon with neither fighter risking the ground **** against a dangerous opponent**

I'd like to see Maia vs Almeida although I'm pretty if this happened but I know they'll get booed by ignorants who don't know world class BJJ when they see it**
