Why isn't the UFC having shows in Brazil?
Simple question, anybody know?
seems like a no brainer******martial arts is big in Brazil and you have alot of Brazilian poster boys to sell the fight******there has got to be a reason, b/c to me, it's a no brainer business wise

Is Brazil a very well off country? I didn't think people where very wealthy in Brazil so I assumed it was because they would have to lower ticket prices and have a substantially smaller live gate, also are there any proper venue's in Brazil?

The reason they aren't going to Brazil is because Brazil doesn't have top notch stadiums for a fight card or a lot of money**
Now the fact they are planning on going to the Phillipines makes no sense at all to me but Brazil doesn't make much either** Soccer which is huge in Brazil doesn't make a lot of money with their home leagues because their stadiums aren't good enough**

“The Philippines is definitely happening, we're working on that right now, Australia and Germany, those three are right now,” he stated** “And now we're starting to focus on doing something in Brazil**”
Details on Brazil are far more sparse even than White’s secrecy on Germany** “Probably about three weeks ago, I did an interview and I said, ‘You know what? Brazil isn't even on our radar right now**’ And that's changed actually in the last three weeks** We're seriously looking at Brazil right now because there's a lot of interesting economical things going on down there right now**”
keep in mind that this was from may 08**

You also have to keep in mind that it was something Dana said, so it probably has little to do with reality**
