Mark Bocek says Aaron Riley or Joe Lauzon is good next step
Mark Bocek talks about his win over Alvin Robinson and his future plans as he hopes to get a crack at Joe Lauzon, Aaron Riley, Danzig and Edgar.
On his win over Alvin Robinson...
"I wanted to try and mix it up on the feet a little bit, but the first time we went out, he tried to take me down with that inside trip and I stuffed it and threw a knee to the body."
"The fight kind of went like I thought it would. I visualized a lot and it turned out the way I thought it would. I wish I could’ve locked in that north-south choke in that 1st round about 10 seconds earlier, but other than that, it went well."
"If I had 10 more seconds, I could have sealed it and then when I watched the replay and saw his face, I definitely could have finished it with a little more time."
"99% of the guys that I trained with through the last 6 weeks would beat my opponent so it just gave me a lot of confidence going in and I was in really good shape."
On training at ATT...
"All of those guys I train with are top 5 or top 3 guys. Training with guys like Pitbull, JZ, Aurelio or Mike Brown will only help because all of those guys are just monsters."
"I’m not looking to be complacent. I just want to improve more and more every time out. I want to get in there again and show even more."
On who he'd like to face next...
"It’s such a great division, but Aaron Riley and Joe Lauzon would be a few guys that come to mind. After a couple of more fights like that, then I really want to fight the guys that I lost to."
"I want to fight both Danzig and Edgar again. Even if they went on to lose their next 10 fights and got eliminated from the UFC, we would still have to fight some time. I really want to make those fights happen."
