I think Rashad Evans is probably a pretty big draw, especially after what he did to Chuck.

I might get some flack for this but i think that Mike Swick belongs to that list. He is the only one in AKA who recieved a different contract then the other. Why?? Probably that the UFC thinks his a good draw and i believe for someone who has not fought for a title, he is one of the best.

But if he had the type of leverage that this article is speaking of he would have been appeased the first time and not left to Affliction.

I'd have to say that ATM leverage goes to..

1.) Anderson Silva (Dana would never give this guy up)

2.) GSP (His trainers have openly talked bad about Dana and he's received no backlash from it. Were talking about Dana White, no extreme response is unheard of from this guy.)

3) Forrest Griffen (The first TUF contestant to really climb from the bottem to the top and add validity to TUF)

4.) Chuck Liddell (We've always known this)

5.) Wanderlei Silva (if he beats Page) if not, they could try to write him off as never being as good as he once was

6.) B.J. Penn

7.) Brock Lesnar (He's being groomed make no mistake)

8.) Thiago Alves (His prescense is undeniable, plus Dana loves talking about him)

9.) Michael Bisbing (He always gets good shows and it looks as if Dana genuinly likes the guy)

10.) I'm at a loss for #10. It's not easy to have leverage with the UFC

Once again leverage in the sense that I'm talking about it is being able to have an angle to succussfully negotiate with against Dana and the UFC. Maybe I'm wrong?
Totally agree with you on 3,5,7,8 i think as far as Bisbing goes Dana really likes the dude because it his connection to the U.K. fans...without Bisbig there is a def disconnect...I'm no saying there arent other fighters from the U.K. but Bisbing is def Dana's household name as far as a fighter from the U.K.....I think 1 and 2 go without saying but I think all points mentioned had validity...... I would def add Lyoto to the list of fighters Dana has visioned for the future.....

Exactly, all this Affliction/breach of contract story shows the UFC cares about Randy because he's important to them, in other words, has got leverage. If for example "Cain (expletives) Velazquez" as Dana said and many other fighters would show up to Affliction events and do what he did, do you think the UFC would bother suing and threatening them for weeks like they did to Randy? They'd just cut them on the spot, "who cares".

2 other reasons why Randy has leverage and should def be in your top 5:
- Randy gets one of the highest salaries in the UFC, 250K just to show up, because he's one of UFC's biggest draw.
- He trains with lots of other fighters at his gym, he's respected and has lots of influence on the fighters, basically on "UFC employees".

Did "el matador's" contract get renewed after that public humiliation that florian put on him?

I know that it was the last fight on his contract and that he wanted more money than they wanted to give him.

I definatly agree and when you brought up the fighters in his gym who he works with you gotta emphasize who those guys are Forrest Griffen (This guy is gonna be Dana's new Lidell), Wanderlei Silva. Amir Sadollah, Mac Danzig, Tyson Griffen, Martin Kampman these arent no name undercard fighters these are guys who carry some name recognition.
