which is all BS.

most of the fighters he cuts probably make 8 grand a fight, which costs less than a night of drunken house trashing by the TUF cast, who, in the end, are mostly gonna be cut from the UFC anyway!
So why is he cutting back? You think he's a Scrouge and is trying to cut some employees right before Christmas? Oh, and there are more costs to the UFC for their employees other than their purses.

So you think "Though economic times" is a BS reason to have cuts? Are you saying these are not though economic times? It may be not so tough for regular guys like me and you, but for every big company in north America, these times are very very bad!

I see logic here but apperantly everyone has to ignor any kind of logic that doesnt provide further proof that Dana is infact the antichrist.

Im with you there, isnt that what we all really want,

Besides playing of off Jimdon's post here is it more fair to Dana to prevent fighters from taking fights with other companies by locking them up in contracts when he doesnt have the available cards to give them fights?

It's not like Pride ever had a giant roster. Rather just have the same good fighters over and over. Thats how I like it.
Though don't get me wrong I have plenty of dislike otherwise for Dana/ufc/your mom etc.

so do i, but i just don't feel dana does.

dana has let so many fighters go (for whatever reason) or refused to deal with them that it's obvious he doesn't really care about quality.

whether it's an amicable split or spite or contract issues, he's let guys like these get away from the company (or kept them out):

sylvia
arlovski
cro cop
barnett
werdum

that's pretty much half the top 10 HW division, yet he uses guys like mark coleman, who he himself called an old geezer when refering to him fighting fedor, houston alexander (who's got the ground game of a white belt), alessio sakara (who's 4-4 in the ufc), neil wain (who's got half the athleticism of Marshmellow Man), and a ton of other c level fighters who are never gonna see mediocrity, let alone a title shot.

dana doesn't care about quality, or he would have cut guys like eddie sanchez and given their contract money to keep guys like werdum in.

dana doesn't care about quality, he cares about power and money, otherwise he wouldn't have threatened to cut all of AKA from his roster.

he threatens to cut fitch, kos, and valasquez, yet he brings in nobodys to fight in his shows in england. **** you dana.

Yep, that's why the UFC has been so unsuccessful and the other organizations are flourishing.

Lets start on your list,

Tim Sylvia - the guy has talent but he may be the least popular champion in UFC history and the fans hated him but not in the good Tito kind of way were they'll pay to see him get his ass kicked but in the shitty change the channell kind of way.

Arlovski - This one pisses me off but he did put on one of the worst fights against Wedum, still this one I give you it was a horrid decision but we dont know the details it was a money issue.

Cro Cop- Cro Cop looked pathetic in the UFC, he has looked pathetic since leaving the UFC, Cro Cop is a shell of the man that ran rampant through Pride.

Barnette - Steroids it wasnt a Dana thing Barnette got suspended then took fights in Japan which violated the terms of his suspension, the NSAC probable wouldnt have allowed Barnette to return after his supension time was up but only allowed him to later because so much time had passed, It also must be remembered that steroids were a much bigger issue when Dana was fighting tooth and nail for the legitimacy of MMA in the US.

Werdum- I would ask Werdum to take a pay cut to, the guy is supposed to be an Elite level HW and he is at 50% in the UFC and showing up looking fat and out of shape there is no excuse for a fighter that is supposed to be one of the best in the world to show up like that, sure you can say Neil Wain even looked less athetic but Wain fights a hell of alot cheaper than Werdum.

I think 140 fighters is plenty, that's 28 per weight class. But of course it's retarded to cut the best fighters, like Werdum, Okami and Velasquez. If they want to stay the top promotion, they should replace fighters at the bottom of each weight class, regardless of whether the guy has been on a reality show or not.
