I'm not defending or agreeing here, but I think the reason some of the fighters are kept while others are let go is pure business reasons and potential for growth. The England cards have lesser known guys because they want to grow the fan base in England. Maybe Sakara, Kongo, and the Dutch fighters are their attempts to grow other European country fan bases? Growth in customer base is a fundamental need for any business. The TUF fighters that acquire a following because they're crowd favorites seem to be ones he promotes more, because it is bringing more customers in.
I didn't word all that very well, but hopefully my point was made.

But if your running a buisiness (people tend to forget the UFC is one) it makes more sense to keep TUF guys who make a fifth what Werdum does and have twice the name recognition.

it's 100% about business, so let's cut the crap about "dana wants the best fighters". no, he doesn't.
i've always thought this about sakara. the only reason he keeps letting him fight is because it's a great way of grabbing more italian viewers.

TBH, all that matters to me is the UFC stays in business and they don't go down like EXC and (soon) Affliction. If it takes tough and "unfair" decisions to make, then go ahead Dana.
Seriously, what would we have left without the UFC?

That 300 figure was for fighters under Zuffa. meaning all of the fighters in the UFC and WEC. The UFC alone had like 200 before it starting trimming itself a bit. The WEC would make up the rest but they to are cutting the roster by getting rid of the MW and LHW divisions.

You should get a membership to the forum. If you do you will get an addition to your USER CP which tells you who negged rep you.
Anyways, 300 fighters is a bit much and like the other poster said it would take a year just to showcase them all. So cutting down on the scrubs isn't exactly a bad thing IMO.
Its when Dana is going after the big guns is what bothers me. Some of these guys do belong here but Dana is going after them regardless. He got rid of Werdum because of one KO loss. He tried to get rid of Jon Fitch and his teammates because of a video game deal. I'm afraid guys like Yushin Okami or Lyoto Machida will get cut if they lose there next fight mainly because the way people precieve there fighting styles.

Remember it's not like it's completly Dana White (as everyone seems to think it always is). The UFC's decisions are made by the owners/Joe Silva/shareholders and other marketing people. i love how it's always "dana-this, and Dana-that". the guy does the speaking for the company as a whole.
Cutting guys is something every Sports team has to do...the UFC can't send people back to the minors so they let them go and another orginization picks them up. They put a couple of good fights together, and they may be welcomed back. You have to make room for the up and comers to the sport as well...if they cut every guy that had a loss from TUF there would be a ton of guys gone. Some of those guys have grown into solid fighters (Griffin, jardine,Bisping). While i do agree with some of the posters here, that Alexander and Sakara are not cutting it...you have to remember that every contract is different and every fighters career takes turns constantly.
Business is business...you would all do what's in the best interest of your company if it was your money and livelihood on the line.
