dana's BS'ing knows no bounds

he's cut down the roster from 300 to 180, and is probably going down to 140, claiming "hard economic times" as the reason why.

which is all BS.

most of the fighters he cuts probably make 8 grand a fight, which costs less than a night of drunken house trashing by the TUF cast, who, in the end, are mostly gonna be cut from the UFC anyway!

i personally like some of the roster trimming (bye bye georgie ), but dana's reasons are bullsh*t!

I imagine TUF brings in money by attracting more viewers to the sport, but I am in no way trying to defend Dana. I don't know, but I find it hard to believe that the economic crisis is affecting him personally, but the amount of PPVs surely hasn't decreased, so I don't know why he would need to cut the roster.

How can you even support 300 fighters doing one show a month?? if there's 8 fights on a card, 2 fighters per fight, thats 16 fighters per show. It would take a year and a half to see every fighter, providing no fighter fought more than once. 140 sounds like a much more reasonable number

I dont mind him cutting the RIGHT people. But i have heard that if fighters like Okami lose their next fight, then they could be out of the UFC. Which i think is pure bullshit. He needs to keep all the contenders.

If he loses the next fight, he would hardly be a contender anymore. I agree with you though, the "big guns" should be kept, even though losing.
