Whom are your picking in the upcoming battle in December? I'm for Rampage all the way... it's time to revenge!!! Although, it's going to be very hard for Quinton, then again, all he has to do is to avoid Silva's deadly clinch...

To the people who say it got stood up too early in PRIDE. Go watch the fights. The whole fights, not some edited highlights. Time how long they were on the ground for and actual damage done. In the second fight especially, Rampage had Wanderlei on the mat for a long ass time before it got stood up and was doing insignificant damage. Mario Sperry even commentated that what Rampage was doing was pretty inneffectual and he was just wasting energy and achieving nothing. Which turned out to be true because Rampage gassed (as noted when he couldn't take Wanderlei down some time in the second round), got too slow and got smashed by that right hook of doom.

The only time anything significant happened from the ground was when Rampage dropped Wanderlei near the end of the first round and got into mount (for a short time) and sidemount. Wanderlei got back into halfguard and the round ended. It was a ten minute round. He isn't going to have ten minutes with your new rules and new ref. . .

If Rampage still isn't blocking leg kicks well and is still covering up by raising his elbows to his ears he is going to get smashed. That cover up invites a thai clinch. Wanderlei is too fast for Rampage, he even said it himself after the first fight.

I'm rooting for Wandy given Rampage's inexcusable behavior following the Griffin fight. Rampage has the door open to come back into the good graces of most MMA fans and that is amazing in and of itself.

I'm rooting for Wandy but I am picking Rampage. Rampage moved to the Wolflair, Bisping is a Wolflair product and he looked Machida-esque in his last fight. I don't think Rampage will look that way but I do believe he will look like a brilliantly intelligent fighter and that will win this bout over Wanderlei.

Wandy has much more heart and that reminds me of the Jackass song, "If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough."

Wandy was dumb but tough in his loss against Lidell and Hendo. The Jardine win wasn't a fluke, it wasn't skill, it wasn't anything but a quick KTFO. I don't see that happening against Page and I don't see Page bringing the "dumb but tough" gameplan he brought in Pride. I think this fight will look like Rampage v. Hendo.

You don't think that gameplan wasn't crafted by Randy....I'm sure after they saw the Houstan fight they were trying to employ the same game plan and not let Jardine get into rhythm....that 36 sec KO was brutal, which had a gameplan, and was skillful.

And Xtreme Couture's gameplans>wolfsair's Gameplan

I think Wand is already in Jackson's head, so half of the fight is won for the Axe Murderer.

On top of that, Wand trains with Couture who is very familiar with Jackson, Forrest, who just beat Jackson and quite possibly stole his soul (which speaks to a lack of heart from Jackson IMO, it wasn't like he got man-handled in that fight, but he seems irreperably scarred from the loss).

Wand had Jackson's number before, his cardio is top-notch, and you know Randy will be working wrestling with Wand considering that on the ground in top-position is the only place Quinton has half a chance of winning this fight from.

Just came back to the forum to see my thread... To sum up, Rampage is totally overshadowed by Silva in most opinions. So if Wandy wins, he most likely gets an instant title shot, and Quinton goes into obscurity. In case Silva loses in devastating fashion, he will be 1-4 and this does sound really, really bad.

Even in the extremely unlikely event that Wandy loses, I can't see the UFC cutting him due to his iconic status.
Cro Cop's fate... sounds pretty plausible. UFC pays him good money and he cannot compete on the highest level anymore, so what's next? Preliminary card is too low for him and title contenders' spots are unreachable...

P.S.
It's in case he loses to Jackson in a devastating fashion...

that is true, however he did just destroy Jardine + as others have said he's an Icon of the sport so they will want to keep him. There are loads of good fights for him in the UFC ever if he does lose to Rampage.

To me it was more about Jardine, he was just too confident there, and a win over Keith does not help you much in terms of rankings. Houston Alexander also beat Jardine very badly, and where is he now? In obscurity. Besides, Wanderlei is no longer that good: Cro Cop almost chopped his head (2006) with high kick and Hendo put him to sleep by knocking him out (2007). Then he fought Chuck who turned into loser (i know sounds bad) in 2007 as well and their fight was one of the best battles I have ever seen, but they had 2 loses in a row... To sum up, the match vs Quinton is crucial for Silva to determine his way. Jackson has a good chance either to knock him out or get a decision...

I am confident that Rampage will win this fight.

The biggest question in this fight is how well can Rampage defend the clinch?

Outside of the clinch, Rampage's hands are much better, especially after his time with Juanito.

I think Rampage will KO Wanderlei if he can stay outside of the clinch.

Rampage, 3Round KO.

I voted for Wandy, after weighing both options I honestly can see this fight ending any where any time. Both men are insanely dangerous and I think both know what the other can do.

I seriously think this should be a rock'em sock'em robot fight. Let them stand in the middle and trade punches till the first one falls down. It will last 45 seconds, but what a 45 seconds it would be.

Jackson has a very good chance of winning this fight, just as he did in their previous bouts. Wand is a stronger fighter in the clinch though, which Rampage likes to go for in order to get his slams. When you clinch with a kick boxer you had better be ready to defend knees and elbows b/c they're on their way(listen up Rich Franklin). I think mentally Wand has the edge, as well as athletically. That's not to rule out Page getting the take down and raining elbows for the win, but history has shown us otherwise. Not to mention Page has been a little loopy lately, and is now reiterating himself from their last fight (ie I'm a new man, Jesus saves, etc etc). Wand is also in a better camp IMO(he spars with the guy who just dethroned Page lets not forget) and will most likely bring a better strategy into the ring.

I kinda see this fight being similar to Randy being made to fight Brock on his return to the octagon. Dana is like "Ok you kinda screwed the pooch on that last little stunt of yours, lets see how bad you REALLY want this." Trial by fire if you will.

Wand via "did you really think I wasn't gonna use knees?" tko
