Whom are your picking in the upcoming battle in December? I'm for Rampage all the way... it's time to revenge!!! Although, it's going to be very hard for Quinton, then again, all he has to do is to avoid Silva's deadly clinch...
You don't think that gameplan wasn't crafted by Randy....I'm sure after they saw the Houstan fight they were trying to employ the same game plan and not let Jardine get into rhythm....that 36 sec KO was brutal, which had a gameplan, and was skillful.I'm rooting for Wandy given Rampage's inexcusable behavior following the Griffin fight. Rampage has the door open to come back into the good graces of most MMA fans and that is amazing in and of itself.
I'm rooting for Wandy but I am picking Rampage. Rampage moved to the Wolflair, Bisping is a Wolflair product and he looked Machida-esque in his last fight. I don't think Rampage will look that way but I do believe he will look like a brilliantly intelligent fighter and that will win this bout over Wanderlei.
Wandy has much more heart and that reminds me of the Jackass song, "If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough."
Wandy was dumb but tough in his loss against Lidell and Hendo. The Jardine win wasn't a fluke, it wasn't skill, it wasn't anything but a quick KTFO. I don't see that happening against Page and I don't see Page bringing the "dumb but tough" gameplan he brought in Pride. I think this fight will look like Rampage v. Hendo.
Cro Cop's fate... sounds pretty plausible. UFC pays him good money and he cannot compete on the highest level anymore, so what's next? Preliminary card is too low for him and title contenders' spots are unreachable...Even in the extremely unlikely event that Wandy loses, I can't see the UFC cutting him due to his iconic status.
To me it was more about Jardine, he was just too confident there, and a win over Keith does not help you much in terms of rankings. Houston Alexander also beat Jardine very badly, and where is he now? In obscurity. Besides, Wanderlei is no longer that good: Cro Cop almost chopped his head (2006) with high kick and Hendo put him to sleep by knocking him out (2007). Then he fought Chuck who turned into loser (i know sounds bad) in 2007 as well and their fight was one of the best battles I have ever seen, but they had 2 loses in a row... To sum up, the match vs Quinton is crucial for Silva to determine his way. Jackson has a good chance either to knock him out or get a decision...however he did just destroy Jardine
