Machida is a bad mo fo and he will beat Silva.
I believe he's going to be looking for a KO so he can get his title shot.
Thiago has no tough competition under his belt, Machida has wooped Franklin, Bonnar, Penn, and Sokky.
And for all of you people that claim Machida "runs" in his fights, take a look at Tito's face after his last fight and tell me how the running man pulled that off without kicking his ass.

Machida is an artiste, i love watching him fight.
Dont hate on him just because he doesnt slug it out wif everyone for the crowds approval.
This concept is pretty out there but maybe he thinks getting in the face is a BAD tactic for winning a fight.

Machida is poetry in motion. If you cant get hit, how can you lose? It sure was not boring watching him against Ortiz.

Machida will knock Thiago out. The striking of Machida is on a different level to that of Thiago Silva... Not even close.

I voted Machida by (T)KO. I would love for Silva to prove me wrong, but I think Silva's aggressive style plays right into Machida's counter-punching style. Silva will be too aggressive and get caught.

I'll go with Lyoto by decision but I got a gut feeling that Thiago will either take him down and pound him out or catch him with something and win by TKO.

Took me a while to figure out who we are talking about. The whole time i was thinking Anderson Silva and was also thinking how in the hell are these two going to fight. I also think the outcome is the same wether is anderson or thiago i think they will both knock/tko Machida.

This is a clear and easy UD/TKO for Machida. His style plays right into Machida's hands. He will be too aggressive and either lose by TKO, or Machida will do what he does, avoid and technically dissect Thiago in every aspect of MMA to get an easy UD.
Machida has a much better roster of wins:
Penn
Franklin
Tito
Sokoudjou
Bonnar
Nakamura
I understand that some of these wins were earlier in his career and Penn was out of his weight, but how do you deny the quality of these men that he holds a win over? Compare it to Thiago's resume and it is a laughable matchup. In fact, in my opinion, the only reason why the people saying Thiago will win is all based on the fact that they find Machida boring and want him to lose. I doubt anyone actually thinks Thiago is going to pull out the win.
Machida is a better fighter and will win, period.
