I really like the Diaz bros, except for their unecessary thug style and the fact that Nick gogo'd Gomi.
I think Nate can clear all the B-level fighters, he's crafty as hell and is really damn tough. But against a smart and strong wresler, or someone with better stand-up, he'll get downright smoked.
He'll be a top fighter, but never champion.

Yea that's a good point. I mean MLS you bang on Tyson's striking all the time saying it's horrible but he would beat the crap out of Nate standing.

I like both Diaz brothers. Right now I think Nate needs a win against a top opponent. He's just starting to break into the top of the LW division but is a win or 2 away from the top 5.

I completely respect both of the Diaz brothers skill, but the attitudes is what I can't stand.

The word improved must be lost upon you. But your thoughts are irrelevant when it comes to both Diaz brothers because no matter what they do you would still try and talk shit about them.

He does have bad striking. His hands aren't good and his defense sucks. Just because you do one thing well doesn't mean you are good at it all.

I like the Diaz brothers. I think Nate still has to prove himself against some more quality opponents, but I think he could be a possible contender someday. He's what, 23 years old? He's tough, improving, and has a lot of time to get better. If he takes his training seriously (which it looks like he does), I can't rule him out.

I see him as a potential contender. He needs to defeat higher-level UFC LWs to get there, though.
I can't see him beating Florian or Sherk anytime soon, but he has time to improve his game before he'd get either of those fights, and the MMA world moves quickly. I really didn't think he'd get past Pellegrino, so I'm a little wary of underestimating Diaz again. We clearly haven't seen the limits of his abilities yet. Who's going to be the one to expose him?
The Griffin matchup suggested above is a good idea. Guida or Huerta would also be good fights. But I have no interest in a Maynard matchup. We've seen it already. They've both got potential and I'd like to see 'em both try to climb the ranks without one of them knocking the other one down.

I like Nate Diaz regaurdless of how he acts. It's not a big deal if he makes himself look stupid or unprofessional, he always seems to give his opponents the respect they deserve so it doesn't bother me. Also as a fighter he is really entertaining and very slick and it's pretty difficult to not be submitted by him it seems. I say give him Mac Danzig in his next fight. Another battle of TUF winners.
