Wanderlei Silva is an exciting fighter, but lets be real here. We can only go by the facts. This fight is a lot more uncertain than people think. For one thing, the Pride ring is best suited to strikers like Wanderlei whereas the UFC Octogon cage is best suited to wrestlers/ground and pound artists like Rampage.

Secondly, the juice thing...I mean, Wanderlei DID get caught out, which would indicated that perhaps he had an unfair advantage in his matches against Quinton. I mean it's telling how Rampage has done really well in UFC whereas Silva hasn't been that great. This should be a very interesting fight, nonetheless.

What??
When and how did he get caught out exactly?

Rampage beat Chuck which we already knew he was capable of then won a hardfought decision over Hendo and lost to Forrest. Wand dropped a decision to Chuck who's a terrible matchup for him style wise and then destroyed Jardine in about 30 seconds so I don't see how he hasn't been that great TBH.

Wand has been partying up with Hughes, delivering racism to the nation.

Don't kill me.

i don't think he's been that great...if he was great, he would have beat chuck and jardine...since he only beat jardine, he's 1-1, which makes him good - mediocore thus far...but what has he shown us in his UFC fights?

-he can't utilize a gameplan against a fighter who is easily figured out
-he has KO ability
-he's helpless off his back as he always was

i also think he's lost a noticeable amount of size since his pride days...and while he hasn't tested positive for roids...much like brock lesnar..it can assumed that at one point in his career, he used them...

I can't see the picture cos I'm at work but I'm assuming that it's the second Crocop fight where he's a pretty ripped 230 with all veins popping out of his arms/neck. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Wand had used roids (in fact I'm pretty sure he did at least for that fight) but if anything I think he looks bigger now than in a lot of his Pride fights (much more stocky).

I will agree that we haven't seen enough from Wand yet cos he's lost to a fighter he matches up poorly with and beat a fighter he matches up really well with so the jury's still out.

I wouldn't be surprised if Page won but I'm sticking with Wand cos I haven't seen anything from Rampage that puts him favourite in this fight over Wandy.

Edit: I also think Rampage really needs to bring his A game to win this fight whereas Silva IMO doesn't need to be 100%.

Easy, because Wandy can't dance like Rampage can. This is solely a matter of extreme envy.

It's funny cause today I was talking to a co-worker about his fight against Chuck and he told me he thinks Wandy's primary goal was to put on a good show for the fans and cared more about that than finishing/winning to Chuck. I asked him why he thinks that and he said how Wandy dropped Chuck on his butt twice and despite his killer instinct, never went for the finish. Chuck fell once in the 1rst round because he slipped (doesn't really count IMO) and a 2nd time in the 2nd round because he got rocked by a punch but surprisingly Wandy didn't go for the finish... Do you guys think that's a valid theory?
I remember watching this and I was also amazed how Wandy let Chuck back up and didn't go after him in the 2nd round.

Rampage doesn't deserve to share a cage with Wand. He got whomped....twice. That should be the end of it.
