Well you will see it on the 27th. Honestly I am probably going to sound really biased here but I don't think he gets enough credit in his first two fights with Wandy, people make it sound like he got trashed for the whole fight which isn't the case.

No he didn't but when the fight was on the feet he got trashed everytime. Wandy would control the pace and Rampage got Knockedout.

Rampage needs to improve.

i'm gonna be bold and say what i feel...and that is that all the wanderlei nuthuggers are blinded by the jardine KO and fail to recognize that wanderlei is past his prime and isn't getting better...he's getting worse.....whereas IMO rampage's boxing has improved enough to win a standup battle with wanderlei....not only that, but his conditioning is WAYYY better than it used to be...way better

if rampage is smart, he'll take wanderlei down and punish him...why bother w/ the standup when your opponent is so helpless of his back?

rampage via 2nd round tko

I can't agree at all with this in any manner.

I think Wandy haters make pretty excuses.

Jackson better take Wandy down. But he wasn't too hot on the ground in his last fight anyway. He got triangled and mounted.

Than again, he didn't do well on his feet either. In the UFC he's beaten Hendo.

And flash KOed Chuck.

Wandy did the same against Jardine, and lost a decision to Chuck.

I don't see it as being a Nuthugging case for Wandy. But more of a case of both of these guys matched up with Wandy holding double KOs over Page.

Sometimes it is not nuthugging. However if such a label makes some feel better than so be it.

Forrest would be him again IMO, but this time with constant takedowns,
I still think Wandi will beat him and if he comes into the fight like he did against Jardine he surely will beat him. Personally i think you are belittling Wandi's performance against Jardine...cause that was a great performance.

And depending on shogun's performance against Coleman ill see if rampage can beat him, if it is the real shogun then rampage has no chance...i watched Shogun v Rampage yesterday....ouch

Edit: agree with JP and repped

unquestionably a great performance...but lets be honest...we saw 36 seconds of wanderlei....so while it was nice he got the quick KO, it doesn't override the confidence I've lost in him over the last year and a half...

I am not a Wanderlei hater...I think he's exciting as hell and I'll buy any PPV with him on the card unquestionably...but I am a realist.

J.P....rampage was mounted cuz well, he sucks off his back...and wanderlei ain't gonna triangle anyone...just as he did against Liddell, he'll lie there and hold on until there's a standup or he can stand up himself...zero offense off his back in years

and with regards to the Liddell fight...lets keep in mind this is the same liddell that was beaten by jardine and rampage....and wanderlei looked like shit IMO in that fight...everything that was working for him (leg kicks) he ignored and he let Chuck punch him while he tried to counter with wild haymakers and fell short almost every time...

never accused you of nuthugging....as you've made points, which is fine, i dig that...i don't expect to have everyone's support with my opinions....but I've seen countless replies on this forum to the likes of:

"wanderlei via vicious knees lolz!!!" or "rampage is gonna get eaten alive"....wtf? when was the last time wanderlei's used knee's? and to think that rampage will get eaten alive is crazy..he's better than he used to be, and wanderlei simply isn't.

Using Chuck being defeated by Jardine has no merit when critizing Wandy seeing as to how Wandy viciously mauled Jardine.

I find it hard to believe that he's never taken weight training until he arrived at Wolfslair as he claims in numerous interviews. The dude looked really jacked against Liddell and Henderson, heck he looks like in most of his fights.

to be fair the transition to the octagon does favor Page's style. I'm interested to see how that plays a roll in this fight.

I do pick wandy for this fight but I'm hoping the odds are good enough for me to bet on page because I wouldn't be surprised at all if he won.

Rampage improved under Juanito... I wonder if changing camps is going to affect him at all for this fight.

All I've heard him say about his training is that he's taking supplements now. woo-hoo.

I think Wand will win and clearly has the upper-hand IMO. He's in Page's head whether he likes it or not.

But Jackson can win this fight if he shows up in the shape he was for the Henderson fight.
