These 2 are the first that come to mind. Also, I believe Shamrock Vs Ortiz II was one of the highest PPV buyrates at the time.

I think this fight took the ufc into mainstream (along with the tuf1)
I thought of this fight before I even opened the thread.

This fight (along with TUF) litterally saved the UFC.

I'm gonna say Royce vs. Shamrock at UFC 1. That's really where Royce showed "the world" how with BJJ and technique, you can beat a stronger, heavier guy.

Along with all the suggestions so far I would say Chuck Tito II as that the the only UFC event to go over the 1million PPV buys.

Harold Howard vs Royce Gracie. The Gracie myth was completely shatteredwhen he backed out of a fight with the great Harold Howard. Royce went into the cage expecting to win until he looked into Howards crazy eyes and nearly shit his pants

So that makes it the most important fight in UFC history?

That fight didn't do anything much for the UFC in a good or a bad way, people who thought Chuck was the man just looked at it as a flash KO, if it had been similar to the first fight it might have dispelled the Chuck is unbeatable myth but really casual fans didn't really care nad moved onto having another fighter as their hero whilst knowledgable fans weren't really shocked cos of what happened the first time.

A: It's not a personal attack

B: You're obviously trolling because in pretty much every post you make stupid comments that are obviously intended to stir up controversy and I'm getting pretty sick of it TBH.

It's my own fault really for taking the bait so I'm just gonna ignore you from now on. Goodbye Villian.

He is weird. I like to watch MMA but some of the fans are oversensitive if you speak out of line about fighters they have a man crush on
