I dont know if this has been posted before. white had predicted 1.2 million but i guess it was either the economy or the weak under card that let him down

Rumour has it that Dana only said it's projected amount of 1.2 million was only said to futher hype the fight so that they could get coverage on ESPN...

Not to mention the thousands (im assuming since i have NO idea of how many ppl in Aus watch MMA) that didn't get UFC 91 because it was only showed a day later in aus...i stayed true

Also British fans dont buy PPV for UFC events, its free with Setanta subscription. I dont know if they count the actual buys, or the number of viewers. . . ?

I think it would be extremly hard for them to count the number of viewers so im assuming thats just the in u.s and thats what they base all their ppv buys on

I wonder how many PPVs they count for when a sports bar buys the fights. I know they pay like $700 or something for their PPVs but I wonder how many actual buys it counts for cuz I know more and more people are just going to bars cuz more and more bars are buying the fights and everyone is broke lately.

I thought they just had boxes installed in a certain ammount of peoples homes who fairly represented the population and every one was worth 10,000 viewers or something.

When they are discussing PPV buys, they are talking about individual buys in the United States.

When a bar buys the PPV they contact there tv provider and provide how many seats they have within the bar. Depending on how big the bar is they could be charged anywhere from like $500 - $2000. Thats how it works up in Canada anyways.
