GSP beats him via TKO I think. St. Pierre's striking is cleaner and alot smoother. I don't think Alves would be able to get GSP to the ground and if he did, I think St. Pierre is good enough to hold him off.

I think fighters respect GSP's striking too much. They should storm in straight off the bat, much like Alexander & Silva did to Jardine.
And i think Alves will do just that.

alves has always been a slow starter. he feels out his opponent before he throws power shots. besides, if he tried rushing gsp, gsp would just shoot in and get an easy takedown. if alves stays on the outside winning exchanges he will be able to avoid takedowns much easier. alves would tko gsp standing, but i think gsp will be able to get it to the ground. i'd say alves would manage to get a tko in the later rounds.
i think alves would have a much easier time with penn. i don't see penn being able to take alves down, so this fight should be a standup war. everyone says penn has an unstoppable jaw, but lets face it noone has an invincible chin. hendo's iron jaw got rocked by a.silva, and couture was said to have a good chin before he met chuck. all it takes is one flush shot to land and its all over.

I honestly think Alves' leg kick will be useless against BJ and GSP because of the way they fight.
Alves is gonna try and leg kick BJ, BJ's gonna be expecting it, and then Penn is just gonna lean in and hit Alves right in the face with that looping right of his, then either finish him off or set it up for a takedown and then finish him off.
GSP would prolly just eat the leg kick and take him down instantly anyway.
I think BJ and GSP would both beat him standing anyway. Alves is not all that spectacular. I mean he's badass and so is his style, but Chris Lytle was beating him for most of the fight on his feet, he nearly got KOed by Derrick Noble, and Kos got a few good hits on him, I don't think BJ and GSP are in too deep with this possible matchup honestly now that I think about it. Not to say Alves is shit or anything though.
I think Alves is a little over hyped right now cuz he has such a badass style and look to him. Just my opinion.

I rewatched Alves vs. Fitch the other day. Alves has come a long way since then but I think BJ, GSP (and Fitch for that matter) would all beat him.
It is hilarious to watch Fitch/Alves just because of the comments Goldberg and Rogan make about Alves being a small/medium sized WW!!!!! Considering how much talk there has been lately about how massive he is it is a huge lol to listen to Goldberg talk about how Alves might be able to fight at LW (during the Fitch fight).

and if he does that against GSP he will find himself on his back being controlled and pounded on instantly.

I think he matches up well against anyone in the division. GSP has a glass jaw (unless Serra really is an elite striker) and although he's smaller in stature I think the Muay Thai clinch could be effective for Thiago. Against BJ he will have to get past the jab to connect with his leg kicks. Although he's got improved BJJ he will be outclassed on the mat by BJ. Thiago's style is fun to watch and either opponent he faces will most likely be a war. I would rather see him fight BJ than GSP, just because of the style matchup.
