I have to agree with the majority. He's simply NOT a contender at WW anymore.

Like someone else said, if he cannot cut to 155lbs, then he really needs to fire his weight trainer (or hire one?). He could easily be a good sized 155lber, but its not like he should have that much difficulty making it to that weight. His only excuse is laziness.

I think his chances of fighting effectively and getting another title shot are MUCH higher at 155lbs, where his size disadvantage would be lessened. The guys currently at 170lbs are just too big and too strong for him, as well as having much more reach. Sherk dropping to 155lbs was the best thing he did for his career, and I think Serra could have a near similar boost to his fighting career doing so.

I really dont know what the guy is doing, because hes letting the last few years of his fighting career go to waste by sitting idle, not fighting.

I wouldnt pay to see him fight at 170lbs anymore, he's not a legit contender there.

With both their careers in decline Hughes's pretty much over could this even still headline an event? I mean maybe a Spike Fight Night or something but I hope if they do get it done they don't try and ruin a ppv by headlining it with this fight. It's just too late for Hughes and few care about Sera anymore. I agree 155 would be a good move for him right now.

and no win is a fluke, he was a better fighter than GSP that night, he won
he punched GSP in the face and knocked him out, dont see how it can be a fluke, thats like saying it was a lucky punch.
Jeff Curan is an ok fighter, but not really somebody that I would use as an example, and he beat eves edwards back in 2001, almost 8 years ago.

And, ok fine, it was a lucky punch then with GSP, If that makes you feel better. Matt does have heavy hands, though, but so does kimbo slice.

no it doesnt make me feel better,
what i said was that saying it was a fluke is just as bad as saying it was a lucky punch

theres no such thing as a lucky punch, he threw his fist at GSP to hit him in the face and knock him out, and he hit him with it, how is it lucky?
