I think they'll take it into account that he's the only fighter so far in the UFC that has taken Silva into the third round and promote it as such.

That means nothing, Cote was being very conservative and didn't do anything of significance in the fight. His whole game plan was to make it to the 3rd round and you could see that when the 3rd started (holding up 3 fingers), like it was a moral victory or something.

I still think Cote can knock out Anderson Silva, unfortuntly I think by the time it happens (if it happens) Anderson will have already been beaten and it wont have the same meaning. I really hope to see Franklin/Cote when Cote returns because I think it would be a good fight and would put Cote back in the title picture.

That is correct.

To be fair Silva wasn't "a threat" to Cote either in that fight. Silva was leading on points, but there was 3 rounds to go still. Rematch has to happen dammit!

Silva was more of a threat in the fight than Cote. Silva was actually being offensive where as Cote looked like he was just trying to survive longer than anyone else in the UFC.

Not getting KTFO does not mean that he was doing well. He just didn't do as badly as everyone else.

I still see no reason to think he'll win.

QFT and + rep.

It was also very likely that both fighetrs wnated to have the fight in their zone. Cote may very well, and most likely would, have unloaded once Silva got and stayed in reach.

Frankly, I don't know where Silva's zone was this night. It was either Mars or the clown show in a circus. As a silva fan-ish guy it really pains me to say that.

And if anyone other then Silva had acted like that in the ring he would have been ridiculed. and yes I posted this before- but if someone had acted like that on TUF, or in an undercard, what would we have said?

He was ridiculed. He even wanted to get on the very next card to stop all the media talk about how stupid his actions in the cage were that night.

I dont know why ppl are still talking about how Silva was wrong in what he did.

He was controlling from beggining to the end, I'm pretty sure that if the fight would have gone the distance (or perhaps stopped when Cote got KTFO) it would of been in the record books
