Nice bloke, a good fighter but not one of my favourites. I root for him because he's English, but he's too cautious for my liking. His striking is sharp but lacks power compared to the top MW fighters and I think he'll struggle to dominate against the best guys. Although I don't think he'll get his ass kicked either. I expect many more close decisions with Bisping fighting on the retreat and countering. He may even win the odd one.

Oh I nearly forgot, voted "Love Him" (patriotism and all that)

The thing with Bisping is that at least from what i've seen from him, he's only a points fighter when he's against someone who has shown heavy hands, or at least a threat on the stand up, if you see his two other fights at Middleweight it's a very diferent story.

I love watching him fight, apart from him being kind of douchy with some of his comments.

How do you think Bisping's striking compares to the rest of the division, namely Henderson, Marquardt, Cote and even Franklin (though he's at 205 now).
Henderson: it's technically better, but Dan packs more power.

Marquardt: Nate's a better striker. Better combinations, and uses nice body shots.

Cote: Bisping is a better technical striker, however, Cote has more power.

Franklin: Not as good as Rich's odd striking. Rich just picks his opponents apart with his striking.

I have to agree, but when matched up?

Do you think Bisping will be able to outpoint Cote for example? or Henderson?

Imo, Henderson wrestling will give him the edge to keep Bisping guessing and if he ever poses too much trouble he should be able to keep him down.

Cote could be outpointed like Leben was, i see a match between the two something like Cote vs Silva but with softer hits on Cote, Bisping UD perhaps event a split if he can Avoid Cote's KO shot.

Nate and Franklin pwn him IMO.

I fully admit i went through a period of disliking the guy for his fight against Leben, i still feel he gave way too much respect and fought over cautiously making him look nervous all the way through the fight, however i feel he has the ability to improve to a very high level if he stops worrying about losing.
