i think thats a good thing..

Silva vs a nobody will be boring as, id much rather wait and see him fight in super fights to make it interesting so there is a chance where he might actually lose..

Shogun is my homeboy.

The bigger picture is that it leaves 95 completely ****ed. Silva is a big enough draw on his own for it to be a respectable UFC event, they'll need at least 2 big(ish) name match ups to make up for it, and where are they going to pull those from now? It's getting to be a regular **** up whenever a UFC event is held in the UK.

I really hope they think of something!

I totally agree. I think fighting Chuck is easily the best option.

1) This would be a HUGE PPV buy. Liddell still is a massive sell, and its an actual NAME for Silva to fight, something that we havent seen for a little while.

2) Its really win-win for both guys. Neither guy would really lose much credibility for losing. Chuck loses, and everyone just figures Silva is that badass, and Silva loses and he has the excuse "he's fighting above his weight class against one of the greatest all time LHW"

Both guys should be ready physically for this fight, and I cant see either guy having a problem with the marketability of the fight.

What I *dont* want to see is GSP or BJ Penn vs Silva. I dont know why people want Silva to fight down, when he's already proven he can fight up. Why make things easier?

I love GSP, and he's easily my 2nd favorite fighter, but even I can admit that its too much for him. Silva has too much reach, and GSP wont have the same strength advantage. Same thing goes for BJ Penn vs Silva, its just too much natural size advantage for Silva.

Silva vs Liddell/Couture(at 205)

That should be the UFC 95 ticket.

I don't get why he doesn't move up to LHW permanently, this has boggled my mind for a while. Rich moved up, Hendo has been noodling around in both for a while. It's not like he's too short or too small, why doesn't he just fight those guys. Machida, Griffin, Evans, Wandy, Liddell and Rampage would all be amazing fights, why in the f is he not taking them. There is no one left in MW, someone explain this to me.

But he won't challenge for the LHW title, so what's he gonna do, go to heavyweight? The guys that would be good for him to fight are all contenders are close to getting to that stage. Doesn't make sense for him to start fighting losers of contenders fights or fighting contenders, beating them and then not progressing in the division.

I'm disappointed, I was sure I was going to get to see Silva in February. Let's hope the UFC can throw together a card that delivered like 85 did.
