Juanito Ibarra: "He should not be fighting Wanderlei"

Quote:
More on Silva vs. Jackson...

"I feel with everything thatís going on right now, I think Wanderlei has the edge."

"My concern for Rampage is him being Quinton Jackson. He has to go in there being sane enough, healthy enough, knowing where his money is at and making sure our team was all back in order; the smaller the better."

"I just donít feel like everything is there for him to beat a guy like Wanderlei Silva right now."

"I just donít think itís the right time for Rampage to be fighting Wanderlei right now. I think itís a bad time. I see the mistakes Wanderlei makes."

"I also know in teaching Rampage and having him become undisputed champion under me and knowing his weaknesses still, I just know what Wanderlei could do to him easily."

"I just think, at this time right now, he should not be fighting Wanderlei."

On the rematch with Griffin that never happened...

"I went straight up to Dana and I was a little upset and I normally donít get that emotional like that, but I told him we needed a rematch right away. Dana said, 'You know what Juanito, thatís funny because Forrest said the same thing so weíll talk about.'"

"Then Dana told me after all of this stuff started happening that he met with Rampage and Rampage said he didnít want the rematch..."

"Dana told me right to my face, and I had 2 guys off of the team there with me at the jailhouse, and Dana says, 'Iím telling you Juanito, Rampage told me over dinner Sunday that he didnít want the rematch with Forrest.'"

On Chuck Liddell...

"I told Rampage after he beat Chuck that Chuck would get knocked out again. Rampage softened him up and it happened. If I was some kind of influential guidance in his career, I would have him fighting at heavyweight."

What a turbo-douche. Too bad things didn't work out his way, but to go out and publically bash your former fighters is a douche move for sure.

I'm sick of this guy, hopefully he fades away quickly

I agree, you can totally hear his egomania talking through that interview. His mock concern for Jackson is pretty apparent by the way he sabotages Jackson's stability and integrity.

Juanito is scum and I look forward to the day that the media doesn't even consider him worth interviewing.

I was wondering what the specific circumstances were surrounding his swiping Rampage's money.

I imagine his statements will get more and more inflammatory, the less attention he gets.

I couldn't tell if he was more concerned about Rampage or making himself look good so I read the whole article. there's so much sh!t don't stink about his character I'd move to another country too.

Yes, its not cool what he did, really. I think its the first time i hear that from a coach, i mean he almost gave away some stuff on Rampage there.. good thing he didnt.

But you have to wonder if anything is true, like not wanting the rematch..

And he is somehow right however, i am picking Rampage with an edge, but thats because i assume he is ok now.. maybe juanito knows more..

Bring back knees strikes on grounded opponents.. Give me good arguments for not having them for crying out loud.

I think he's just setting himself up to look good with a followup interview really"See? He should've never left me, I've been around this for too long, I can see what you've been eating by looking at your spit womp womp womp womp womm..." hope Rampage puts on a good fight win/lose... jaunito's got good odds on Rampage losing again and I think he's already trying to taking advantage of the hype...
