Steve Bruno should move down to LW.

While he was successful against Rees at FftT, I think he's simply too small to threaten the top guys at welterweight. The guy is pretty chubby for a WW, and he seems to struggle against bigger guys who know how to wrestle (such as Chris Wilson), so it only seems logical that he should consider a bigger cut.

I really wasn't impressed by his performance against Rees---wasn't all that impressed by Rees either---but I could see him benefitting from a move to a division where he'd be facing guys closer to his size.

I hate Johny Rees who cost me my match up with The Legend in the Pick'em.

Bruno is IMO a LW but I don't see him cutting it in the MMA LW division it is just so loaded.

A move to the WEC at WW would be very good for him.

He should move out of the UFC IMO.

He has not been impressive at all since arriving.

I say he cuts his fat ass down to 155 and head to the WEC for now, I don't think he's ready for the UFC LW division yet, let alone the WW division. Any top tier guys would **** him (in both WW and LW).

I actually agree with you guys in that Bruno isn't cut out for the UFC at all. He relies heavily on the ground game, yet his wrestling really isn't that great against guys the same size as him or bigger.

**** Johnny Rees, I bet on him to beat Bruno with a UD, causing me to blow that pick lol.

But yeah, Bruno lacks stand-up and wrestling skills, which is strange considering he trains at ATT.

It's a Catch-22, for sure. Do you stay in a stacked welterweight class or try you hand at a stack lightweight class?
May as well try the latter, because he is on the smaller side.
But yeah, his standup and wrestling need work. Also, he reaaaally needs to stay away from idiot referees.

I always wonder how stiffs like this are in the UFC, while guys like Condit and Varner are relegated to the WEC.

Especially with GSP having beaten almost every top 10 WW, why not see what Condit can do. There are a ton of good fights for him in the UFC. I really like his game and he would do well. Condit/Karo would be sweetness.

Varner is another scary dude. Bring him against a guy like Edgar. Ane there would be fireworks. Great wrestlers with solid boxing makes for a fun fight.

Instead the UFC has guys like Reese, Bruno,Mohr,Siver, and a host of others
