I'm glad you pointed this out. Big muscles, even ripped muscles are not a sign of functional strength which is a MUST for an effective THAI clinch.

Guys who are technically proficient at striking usually are built lean, but not real muscular like a wrestler.

Silva would have a hard time with a grappler who was physically strong, has quick feet, a good judge of distance and could wrestle well.
