You cant really say BJ is by far the best striker in mma, thats just dumb but he is a very good striker with heavy hands, good timing, good chin, uses his striking well to set up his takedowns but hes not IMO the best striker in mma and you cant say anyone is BY FAR the best striker in mma.

I don't know if he's just a really good friend of BJ or if he just considers boxing as striking. BJ would definitely beat GSP if they boxed but he's not leaps and bounds ahead of GSP when it comes to striking.

I think he may be a little biased in that BJ is more of boxing system in the sense that he is methodical and slowly picks his opponent apart over time much like a boxer rather than go for the aggressive finishing fluries.

While that does mean something coming from a guy who has trained amaing strikers I agree that boxing is only a small part of MMA.
BJ wont be able to strike so well from his back and that is where GSP will put him.

Ok, I was gonna say "why the **** is everyone on BJ's nuts about his striking blah blah" but I realised they arent! Good to hear I'm not the only one who thinks he isnt the most amazing striker evar. He has GREAT boxing but his Thai/general kicking could use work. I don't think if they stay standing he beats GSP either. I think GSP tools him standing because he has way more weapons than BJ. If it goes tot eh ground i think BJ has a better chance at winnign but GSP has some great sub defense so he's oging to have surprise him or hit him something he hasn't defended much, or catch GSP making a mistake. Otherwise GSP is going to eat him alive with his GnP or just his general fighting pace. just my opinion though, feel free to disagree

BJ is the greatest at striking....wow....now that is nuthuggery...i have never heard such blatantly untrue statements from a "professional". That is just false.
Love the praise. Did he have a vested interest in BJ's hands or something?

Another thing, why does a mixed martial artist have to be a muay thai guy to be considered a great striker. Thats like saying Aleks,Timmy,AA,Rampage,Chuck and BJ arent great strikers
Whatever is effective. Im not saying BJ is the best, I still say Anderson is the best overall striker. But best boxer is def BJ. Granite chin and heavy hands are a dangerous combination.
