No matter how this fight goes, the winner will get a title shot. Except maybe if the winner does extremely bad but still somehow squeezes out a win, or if the winner is injured so bad that he gets suspended for a long time.

Believe me they will not put the LHW title on hold for Lyoto Machida. I dont think they woudl put the LHW title on hold to wait for Machida to fight if he was like 15-0 in the octagon and had already crushed everyone but the title holder.
Then Machida will challenge Dana White for #1 contender spot (open weight), but Dana will change the rules and it will be like McMahon vs anyonwe in WWE But honestly, Rashad, Brock, BJ Penn and Anderson Silva got their title shots too easily while other fighters like Lyoto Machida or Roger Huerta gotta fight way more fights to be "noticed" by UFC management... and be "politely" rejected.

Favorite fighters:
1. Badr Hari
2. Remy Bonjasky
3. Mauricio Rua
4. Anderson Silva
5. Alistair Overeem

It will be awhile before Rua ever gets a title shot imo.

There is a huge difference between Huerta and Machida, the UFC liked Huerta and wanted him to succeed, that is why they built him up by making him fight not the best competition. The other difference is Machida is one of the best LHW's, Huerta isn't Top 10, or in my book anywhere near Top 10.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

winner of rampage-silva obviously gets the title shot, why the hell would only wandy get it if he won? I thought a rampage-griffin instant rematch was the best possibility, considering that atleast half thought that jackson beat griffin. Winner of Machida-Silva should probaly fight Jardine or shogun-coleman winner.

I still believe that Rua is closer than people think. He's definitely closer than Liddell and Jardine. Bust out those Pride fights, he's a monster and everyone in the MMA world knows it. I'm wondering if Coleman's face will look worse than it did after his 2nd Fedor encounter. The way I see it, a half assed Shogun that gassed made Forest's face look like a horror movie still. He's young and hit a hump in his career, but he'll pass it. But on the subject of the winner of Wand/Page, either would be the next best for PPV sales in the division.

Could be mistaken but I doubt Wand will take a title shot. He trains at XC with Forrest. They are sparring partners.

If Rashad is the champ:

Wand/Page Winner vs Liddell/Jardine Winner or Machida/Silva Winner for Title Shot.

Always supporting:
Forrest
Machida
Wandy
Velasquez

Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones is the best match-up the UFC has ever been able to arrange. Here's to hoping it goes down.

Rampage wins Title Shot. If Wandy Wins Anther fight he does not deserve a shot yet he only beat jardine.

I actually don't see Jackson getting a title shot if he wins. Obviously Machida is due, and Jackson has been unstable mentally as of late -- it just doesn't make sense.

With Wandei it's more complicated. I wonder what his contract stipulates? He's definitely a big name, which might make it difficult for the UFC to deny him. Can't pit him against Machida if he wins, because that would put off title shot for too long (unless they give it to Anderson or Iceman). Actually, an Anderson title shot concurrent with a Wandei/Machida match makes a whole lot of sense.
