I respect the hell out of Quarry for taking that title fight against Franklin. I wouldn't call him overrated just yet (that seems to be an easy word to throw around on these forums), he hasn't had the chance to showcase his skills much in the octagon, but his wins over Carter and Sincaid were impressive. I think he would have beaten Pete Sell badly, had Cecil Peoples not stopped the fight way too early.
I look forward to seeing him back and proving everyone on here wrong.

Yea I respect him I'm just saying it seems like he is not liked by a lot of people. I mean yea he's got talent, I just don't care for him too much. Nothing personal I just don't like the guy...sorry...

Yea same here. I like the guy. He has good skills which he has shown in every one of his fight minus the title fight and is one of the better fighters in the middle weight. He's got a good attitude with things and has respect for others. Not much to dislke about the guym I wish him well.

NOt to be a ****...but why does everyone say he's so good? I haven't seen him beat anyone of worth...just wondering. Pete Sell sucks and plus it was stopped early, Lodune Sincaid is terrible, and Shonie Carter was definately on something at the time. Not trying to pick on the guy like I said I don't dislike him for anything personal, I just think he's really overrated.

Well, you have to admit, he did dispose of 3 UFCers in the first round by TKO ... I think that counts for something. I originally disliked Nate after he dissed Franklin and said he had a weak chin and he had heavy hands, but Nate was good in defeat and in the aftermath I visited his site. He genuinely seems like a decent guy and it's good to see anyone make a comeback. I think a lot of what was said was just the usual pre-fight crap.. UFC needs sound bites, etc. Like I said though, I can't see him being champ

Well said, he's a nice guy but he is not as good as he let on, and he was very humble in defeat and that is respectable. I just could care less to see him fight again.

It's totally the "He's a cool guy" theory. Nate looks awkward out there, but I can't help but like the guy.

Yeah you're right, he does look awkward but yet he put a lot of guys to sleep. Maybe Franklin exposed him ... I'd root for him ... I'd hate to see him go out with that horrible loss

nate was just talking the talk b4 the franklin fight...its part of the mental side of the game. Similar to GSP comments against Hughes after BJ/Hughes 2.
Nate is a top guy and a talented fighter. I dont think anyone really rates him that high so how can u call him overated ???
Joe Rogan built him up a bit so maybe thats part of it.....anyhow hope he kicks ass at 66.
