You better watch out if PaulyJ reads that.
I'd say Baroni's a better fighter than Houston and he'd be a welcome edition in my book cos nobody, nobody can hype a mid tier matchup better than Baroni.

Considering some of the dudes he's lost to already, you didn't even have to use the word "top".
Maybe he has more cardio. But is he just going to stand there and throw punches, or has he actually improved his all-around game to reflect the current state of MMA? My guess is that he's still a one-trick pony.

13 wins and 10 loses... and I don't like Baroni for his embarassing behavior in PRIDE 31 (along with Coleman) where he acted like a lunatic trying to beat Wanderlei Silva who was in a corner of Mauricio Rua. Unfortunately, Wanderlei has never got a chance to beat a crap out of Phil officially... because Baroni was even trash in PRIDE Bushido and never earned an opportunity to fight the best fighters out there. And now he wants to UFC, WTF? The one and only job for him in UFC is to participate in TUF (although seems unlikely).

I never said he had a good record or was a good fighter, I'd like to see Baroni as a gatekeeper at 170 basically because he'd still be a test for up and comers and can hype a fight up well so he'd be a good push for solid fighters rising toward contender status.
And while I'm a certified Chute Box nuthugger and never really liked Hammerhouse that in ring altercation was six of one and a half dozen of the other TBH.

I actually would really like it if Phil came back to the UFC, he always cuts a great promo and it's always funny watching his mouth being shut by other fighters' fists.
I don't see Dana having a problem bringing him back either, they're good friends and with a couple more wins under his belt I'm sure he'll get a call from Joe Silva.
