Different strokes and all that Willis jazz, but I'm shocked that anyone would find this to be a lackluster show.
I miss Genki, in general. America just didn't know how to react to Genki. Dude even pulled out a giant swing in the Bang fight. A giant swing!

The American audience just doesn't seem to appreciate the theatrical element a lot of Japanese fighters integrate into the sport in general. I mean, I can't imagine Takada beating on a giant drum in a thong would sit well with most casual MMA fans. I love that shit though.

I'd go with 2004: Cro Cop getting revenge on Randleman, Chonan providing one of the greatest submissions ever, Gomi caving Pulver's skull in, and Fedor/Nogueira 3.
Such an amazing card.

I'd be down for that plazz, but I'd never make it in to Canada. I'm too awesome and they'd stop me and not let me into the country.

By the way, Pulver vs Gomi is the best LW MMA stand-up fight ever. So, so great. How Gomi took that dreaded left, I'll never know. Oh wait, it's Gomi, nevermind. Gomi's head was scarily huge in that fight.

As always a great write up, this is about the time when I really started to hate boxing and get into MMA, this card seems fairly foggy in the head, Ill have to do a re-watch myself.
